A Month Later....
Alice
"Alice?" Ember states, "Are you ready for today?"
"I don't know," she whispers, "I want to marry Liam...but...I just..."
"You're nervous?" She nods, looking upset. "Alice, it's okay. It's normal to be nervous on your wedding day."
"But Liam..."
"He's probably nervous too."
"Y...you think so?"
"Yes, I do. Now, let's get you ready for the ceremony."
"C...could I see Margaret before the ceremony?"
"Yes, of course, if you want. She'll be working in the kitchening getting dinner prepared for everyone."
They head downstairs to the kitchen. "M...Margaret?" Alice whispers.
Margaret turns, facing them. "Alice, dear," she asks, "what are you doing down here? I thought you needed to get ready for your wedding."
"I...am. I just...wanted to see you before I do."
Margaret's expression softens. "Alice, it'll be okay. That boy loves you with every part of his existence."
"I...I know, I'm just nervous."
"...and that's okay. I was really nervous when I got married too."
"R...really?"
"Yes, really. I wouldn't lie to you, Alice."
She looks relieved. "That...makes me feel better."
Margaret hugs her. "Your wedding is going to be perfect, okay?"
"O...okay."
"Now, go and get ready. I'll see you after the ceremony."
She nods, following Ember back to the dressing room. Once they're in the room again, Ember helps her into her wedding dress. She sighs, looking worriedly at herself in the mirror. "E...Ember?" she whispers.
"What's wrong, Alice?" Ember inquires.
"I...do I...are you sure that..."
"Alice, you look beautiful."
She glances at the floor. "O...okay. Is it starting soon?"
"Yes, did you write your vows?"
"Y...yes...erm..." She pulls a crumpled piece of paper out from her purse. "H...here." Ember glances at the paper. "Do you think...they're okay?"
"Yes, they're good. Liam will understand what you're expressing to him."
"Is it s...starting soon?"
"Yes, come with me." Ember offers her hand to her sister. Alice takes her hand, following her out to where the main ceremony will take place.
Liam
Liam is waiting for Alice and Ember to enter the venue. Eventually music starts to play and Ember and Alice come into the room. They walk down the aisle, stopping when they reach the end. Ember whispers something to Alice before gently nudging her towards him.
"Alice," he whispers, "you look beautiful."
Ember begins talking, "Today, we are gathered to witness the union between Alice and Liam. Their marriage weaves together two lives, two stories, and two souls, ready to embark on the greatest adventure of all, side by side, hand in hand. Now, who wants to say their vows first?"
