I exited the restaurant and stopped Logan's car. As I approached, I noticed Sabrina stepping out of it. Ha, I didn't lie Sabrina is actually here, What a shocker.
"Sabrina, what are you doing here?" I ask.
"I wanted to find out what was going on, so I asked Logan to give me a ride," she replied.
Suddenly, Sabrina's eyes widen in shock. "What?" I ask, confused. Feeling a chilling presence behind me, I slowly turn around to find Matteo looming over me, his gaze dark and intimidating.
"Liar," he snaps, his voice dripping with disdain. "Do your parents know you're sneaking around with some guy? Or are you just that good at playing the innocent little girl?"
God, he's such a smug bastard.
"Actually, I didn't lie. Sabrina's here, just like I said," I reply, my voice firm as I gesture towards her, trying to maintain some control over the situation.
Sabrina, oblivious to the growing tension, blurts out, "Maldita Valentina, él está bien," practically swooning.
(Maldita Valentina, él está bien - damn Valentina he's fine)
"Sabrina, cállate ahora mismo," I hiss, shooting her a warning glare. "Ve a esperar en el auto con Logan."
(Sabrina, cállate ahora mismo - sabrina shut up right now)
(Ve a esperar en el auto con Logan - go wait in the car with logan)
She hesitates, clearly torn, but eventually heads towards the car. Even without looking, I can feel Logan's eyes on me, his concern palpable.
"What the hell do you want, Matteo?" I ask, my patience hanging by a thread.
"Nothing much," he replies, his tone casual but laced with menace. He glances toward the car, his lips curling into a sneer. "Just wanted to get a closer look at your little boyfriend."
Before I can respond, Logan steps out of the car and approaches us, clearly ready to defend me. I shoot him a desperate look, silently pleading for him to back down. But Logan remains beside me, standing firm against Matteo's icy stare.
Matteo's gaze sweeps over Logan with obvious contempt. "You've gotta be kidding me. This is what you're running around with? He looks like he couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag." He laughs, the sound sharp and cruel.
"Matteo," I say through clenched teeth, my fury barely contained. I can't believe he's insulting Logan so blatantly.
I lean toward Logan, whispering urgently in his ear, "Please, just go back to the car. I'll deal with this."
Logan hesitates, his jaw clenched, but he eventually listens, turning and heading back to the car. As he walks away, Matteo's smirk deepens.
"Good boy," Matteo sneers. "He listens well. You've got him trained like a damn dog, huh? Or maybe he's just too scared to stand up for himself." His voice is cold, cruel, and utterly dismissive.
