The order

Her pen was moving quickly on the paper, as she was focusing on the lesson. The sun was penetrating inside the classroom, making the air warm. It was unusual to see the sun in the middle of the winter. The boy that was sitting next to her, Viktor, was trying so hard not to fall alseep during that math class. He's a really smart fella, but he tends to skip some classes. They must be boring him out.

Out of nowhere, Spidey's phone light up, and a message popped on her screen. It was from Riri, one of the heroes from The Order of The Shadows: "Seiy, meet me at the Restaurant near the National Museum. Me and Sadie need to talk to you about something."

The Order of The Shadows is a small guild in which heroes get recruited because of their amazing ability to defeat dangerous villains. Initially, the guild was made out of just 3 people, Dr.Charles and their friends, Sadie and The Gladiator, also known as Gyutaro, but as heroes started to show up and prove their strength, they got recruited and The Order of The Shadows got created. Seiy also got recruited years ago, on a summer night, after she defeated a mutant, but she chooses to work alone under the name of Spiderman. Most probably because since the day she got her powers, she has been working alone all of the time.

The girl zoned out after seeing that message, but soon enough, she heard Viktor calling her name and realised she got asked a question by the teacher. She didn't pay attention to the question and her bench mate knew that, so he started laughing. That surely annoyed Seiy, but the thought she'll have time to get mad at him later. Her glance fell on the chalk board and quickly analysed everything that was written there. The last exercise that was on the board was halfway solved, which means the question was refered to that problem.

'I am not sure about the answer.' she said as she was looking at the ground.

Then the teacher noticed the boy giggle, looked at him and asked:

'What about you, Mr. Viktor? Do you know the answer?'

The boy's smirk faded away as he heard the teacher ask him that. He did not pay an ounce of attention to this lesson, so the question inquired by the man made him panic. He stuttered then gave up on trying. If they would've payed attention, they both would've known the answer. But who knew what was going on in both students' minds?

'Next time, maybe you both should try pay attention to my class and you'll know the asnwer right away.' he said, then turned away dramatically as the other students were staring and feeling scared for their future in this class.

Humbled. Math class was the class where anyone can get humbled. A loud sound broke the tension soon enough. It was the bell which dismissed the students so that they can attend to their lunch break. That break was long, but the classes that came after are horrible. After a few hours, everyone finished their classes. The hallway was cold and full of students that were hurrying to get somewhere. Some of them were laughing, some of them were talking, some of them were walking alone, and some of them were getting nagged at by their bench mate, like poor Seiy.

'Who texted you in class?' he asked.

Seiy proceeded to roll her eyes and then said:

'A friend. You don't know her.'

The hallway got colder as they were getting closer to the entrance in the yard. The sun somehow vanished in a few seconds just as they stepped outside. Clouds were covering the sun, like they were trying to mock it and soon, they took over the whole sky. Weirdly enough, there are still some leaves left in trees in the middle of the winter. But some of them were unlucky and got ushered on the ground by the annoying wind.

'Well, if you ask me, I think the teacher just has a problem with us and the reality is that we answered amazingly.' he said as he was smirking.

'Well, I'm glad no one asked you, because you probably would've gotten detention by now.'

  A moment of silence.

'Did you start your biology project yet?'

'What biology project?' Viktor asked surprised. 'Is this a trick question?'

'Look me in the eyes and be for real when you are telling me you forgot about the project',  Seiy said as she was giggling.

Viktor blinked slowly and started thinking. He sighed and then looked at her.

'You know, it's cold outside. We'll talk tomorrow. Bye!' then he dipped and left Seiy to laugh on her own.

                                                              .   .   .

The wind was fighting the rain yet again. They both ended up ruining Seiy's hair. The streets are quieter than ever today, no one was really outside and you can also guess why. Your hands would turn into ice cubes, and you'd get sick for months.

You could only hear the sound of the wind, whispering in your ear bad things about the rain, and the drops of water, asking you to get out of their way. They are in a continuous war. They are always fighting to prove who's the best. But what no one knows, is that the drops of rain are many, while the wind is only one. What no one knows, is the danger that is awating this city.

Seiy was heading to the restaurant Riri texted them about. She kept wondering what do her friends have to tell her. It was probably information about a new villain, but they never met somewhere to talk about guild stuff. They usually just texted eachother, which means that this time it's quite bad.

When she stepped into the building, the bells which were leached onto the door, made a sound so that the waiter knows a customer has come inside. She spotted Riri immediately with her hazel eyes covered by her tawny hair and went straight to her:

  'Hey what's up?'

   Riri smiled and said:

'Hey, Seiy! It's been a while. Sadly, Sadie couldn't make it because they have to catch another villain How are you?' she said as she was drinking her tea.

'Oh, did a new villain show up?'

The wind from outside was getting angrier and started knocking at the restaurant's window. It seemed like it tried to make a knock knock joke but its intentions were not good. The air started lessening up as Riri said:

'Well, that's what we were going to talk about.' she paused a bit before continuing, 'Remember when Dr.Charles first told us about their fights with that villain, Koko? Well, we think he might be back in action. When they were investigating the guy you caught the other day, Sadie saw a mark on his arm, that are usually from Koko's experiments.' she sighed after finishing what she had to say.

When the realisaion hit Seiy she felt a bit anxious. Dr.Charles is a wise guy, even though she doesn't always listen to their orders. Back when Seiy first joined The Order, they told her about a dangerous villain they used to fight with The Gladiator. They mentioned that Koko's power is unique and said that if he manages to get one's blood, he can create an illness just for them, that'll slowly kill that person. He can also make experiments on different animals and turn them into human, which leaves a mark on that mutant.

'What did the others say about this?' Seiy asked.

'Well, at first, Dr.Charles started panicking but The Gladiator told everyone to stay calm and just keep an eye on everything that seems fishy. Even persons.'

Seiy closed her eyes and started thinking about what she got told. If Koko is really back and he decides to take revenge on Dr.Charles then their jobs are going to get harder than ever. Mutants are going to start showing up, they're probably going to get stronger day by day, which means that at some point Spidey will have to team up with someone. And if all of that happens, then her hero and normal life style balance will get demolished, but she'd rather not think about it unless it happens.

'Tell me more, Riri, how's everyone at the guild?', she asked trying to understand as more as possible, as her hand started spinning the small rod on the table.

Riri started telling her every news from the guild. The wind began calming down a bit and left the rain to battle on its own. Seiy payed attention to every word Riri told her to make use of it later. They spent a lot of time talking about new villains that showed up as the moon started making its presence felt. When they finally finished, it was night, so Seiy helped Riri get home, since she was younger and then they parted ways.
