Saleaah Clearwater is the twin sister to Seth Clearwater. Growing up Saleaah was just like Seth, happy go lucky, but at the age of 16 everything changed. She received powers, starting with her becoming an Empath. A few months later she turned from h...

Saleaah stared at Billy as he started telling her of her prophecy, but what she couldn't get over was the fact that he already knew she was cursed with this power of empathy. So, if her power was real...what did it mean about the legends?
Billy gazed at the girl as he explained her prophecy. "As you know the story of the third wife's sacrifice, there is not much to explain from there. But what we do not share much about is about her sister from the Makah tribe. Her name was Shianeya Makah"
At Billy's words, Saleaah lifted her head from resting in her arm to look up at the older man. The Makah tribe is her cousin Emily's tribe. How does that relate to her? Billy smiled at the young teen whose eyes shined with concern and curiosity. She did not know of the changes that would come with her new found knowledge of her destiny.
"Shianeya?" The girl mumbled as Billy hummed in agreement. "She was a beauty and a wonder to her tribe. Many people were confused by her and how she reacted before things would happen. She is of the legends of your mother's side of the family. She was the prophet of knowledge, knowledge no one knew before. Yet, she could not see."
Saleaah's eyebrows furrowed as she tried to sort out what the elder was saying. She was a descendant of a prophet, but how did that relate to her? The Clearwater tried to correlate the story that was being told to her and what she has been experiencing.
"Shianeya was connected to a witch who could see the future, this witch helped her expand her abilities to their full potential. Not only could Shianeya see the future, but she could embody the future. Influence changes that would later help our spirit warriors."
Saleaah's mouth parted as she took in the information. "Wait, if she could influence the future..does that mean she caused her sister to sacrifice herself?" The girl's question was valid, but not entirely wrong either.
"No, do not think of it that way silly child. If anything, she prevented worse from happening. Your ancestor was blind, but she could see in every way. She could see what the information would do for her sister, and the third wife knew her destiny once Shaineya told her what she saw. The third wife was an older sister before she was a wife and a mother. She was the protector of her younger sister who was willing to fulfill her prophecy; Shianeya was going to sacrifice herself instead of her sister."
Shia could feel the raw emotion rolling from Billy as he expressed the story in great detail, she could almost project herself into the past just from feeling Billy's emotions. "So, what happened? How did the third wife get around Shianeya's vision?" Now, Shia was asking the correct questions.
"The witch that helped Shianeya was quite greedy and selfish. She held the prophet very dear to her, so when the third wife visited her to ask her to keep her little sister safe..the witch did nothing to go against the woman's wishes." Billy sighed as he ran his hands along his thighs.
"The witch blocked the younger Makah sister from seeing visions of the next few days. When Shianeya voiced her lack of sight, believing it was because she would die from her sacrifice, the witch did not tell her other wise. The rest is history."
The younger girl rubbed her arms as goose bumps formed along her skin. She felt as if trouble was coming soon. "Am I like her? Am I meant to be a sacrifice?" Saleaah asked as her eyes shined with tears of unvoiced fear yet acceptance.
"I believe your purpose is to anchor those who cannot control how they feel once they become the protectors of the land." Billy explained to her casually. "You're connected to a supernatural being just as your ancestor was, but it is a creature that causes the spirit warriors to awaken."
