A cold one. Shia was connect to a cold one.
"Have you noticed the similarities of pronunciation of names? Your parents wanted to name you after the third wife's sister, hence your middle name. They may not have told you because of the recognition that you followed a prophecy, but in a different legend. In the Quileute legend." Billy explained as Saleaah processed all of the information that was given to her.
She was a prophet who was meant to help spirit warriors, yet was connected to the ones who force the warriors to shift. Shia was connected to the enemy, ones who were frowned upon since before she was born.
That means that everything is true. The warriors in the forms of wolves, the cold ones known as vampires.
"So...all of the legends are true? If I am a prophet, that means I have to fulfill it. Meaning spirit warriors, well wolves are real. Which also means that the cold ones are as well because there would be no reason for protectors if they weren't.." Shia put together raising to her feet overwhelmed.
"Saleaah, I know this is a lot to process. I can have Emily talk to you more about this-." Billy started.
The overwhelmed girl shook her head as she began to back up. It was something about wolves and cold ones that left a rotten taste in her mouth. She could deal with being a prophet, hell even being a sacrifice. But wolves and vampires? Those are fairy tails, they were meant to stay legends. SHE was meant to stay a legend.
Then realization hit once those words left out of Billy's mouth. Emily knew, and she knew exactly how and why.
"Emily? She knows? Oh my God." Shia blinked backed tears as Billy watched the young girl go through the stages of denial. The girl he grew up watching grow as he did with his own children.
"It was one of them? They are the reason why she has those scars...but they are meant to be protectors!"
At this point, the once calm and bubbly girl started to break. She started to see the world for what it really was, what it came to be. It was nothing as everyone believed it to be, what she had known it to be.
Shia could feel the worry rolling from Billy as he tried to wheel closer to her, but the girl just shook her head as feelings started to swarm her. So much overwhelming feelings started to surround her to the point that Billy could see them as if they were heatwaves.
"Saleaah, you need to calm down. You need to understand it was an accident. Sam never meant to hurt Emily." Billy calmly stated, glancing out the window in hopes that his son and his friends would come tumbling out of the woods. Quil could calm her down.
Sam? Sam was Emily's fiancé. Leah's ex. He was the reason that Emily is scarred. If not just him..what about everyone else that follows him around? Saleaah felt sick as she began to feel dizzy with the confusing information and thoughts.
"I can't breathe." The girl gasped out hyperventilating as she stumbled to the door, hoping that the closing feeling in her chest would go away once she reached fresh air.
Billy was hot behind her, trying to get her attention as she stumbled outside.
What did that mean for everyone else? Sam's groupies, as everyone called them, they were just like them. Seth and Leah have been around them more. They are just like them..wolves. Quil suddenly hung out with Sam more. He was a wolf.

The sun was setting as Saleaah was once again wondering the woods. This time she was in shock, a lot of information and lore to process. She was just getting better with her "gift," but now it keeps expanding. It felt consuming, like it was taking over her.
In the beginning it was just feeling others emotions, which was difficult but she had a guide. A mentor. Now she can influence others emotions, which was overwhelming. Based on Leah's reaction earlier that day, it could be more harm than good. Then again today, at Billy's something weird happened.
She didn't see it, but she could feel it. It felt like her gift was expanding out of her, like a second limb. Like its own person.
In the corner of Shia's eye she noticed a flash of movement, but nothing was in sight. It was oddly quiet, seeing that it was sunset other creatures of the night should be pandering around the forest.
She then noticed that she was lost in thought as she allowed her feet to carry her through the forest. Billy. He must be worried since she ignored his calls as they fell to deaf ears.
On her right side she felt the movement of her hair and heard a deep breath being inhaled. Shia quickly jumped away from the cold sensation, whipping her head around to be met with nothing once again.
She knew that she needed to get out of the forest, seeing that the sun was rapidly setting to the point where the sky was a dark purple with black quickly approaching to taint the color.
As her movements quickened so did other movements. The movement of whatever was stalking her.
"On your left!" Alice called to her family as they took off in the direction she saw Victoria in her vision. The short woman was worried seeing that she felt something in her blind spot, it was so close that she could almost taste it. She just didn't know what it was.
Saleaah's feet moved quickly as she ran deeper into the woods, a musical laugh followed behind her which let her know that she wasn't going insane. This was a game of cat and mouse, a losing game for her. She just didn't realize just how quickly she would come face to face with a cold one.
As if tired of the game, she felt her body being tackled to the ground as the two rolled down the hill. A small scream leaving her lips at the painful impact. Her eyes opened, which fell closed once she was impacted, picking up red curls that stood over her with a grin.
"You smell familiar." The redhead purred as her red eyes ran over the Quileute teen.
Saleaah quickly sent emotions towards the vampire to make her feel disgusted at the thought of her blood. Which worked seeing as the woman's head tilted with slight confusion. "Hmm, what are you?" The woman smirked leaning down to grip the young girl's head, pulling her up into a sitting position.
"Hopefully a pain in the ass." Saleaah spit out at the woman with a glare meeting red eyes. Victoria raised an amused eyebrow which turned into a face of pain as strong waves of pain flowed quickly from the Quileute girl. It was a long shot that Shia didn't think would work, but it did.
The girl's concentration was broken once she heard growls and feet running in her direction. Her eyes cut to the side looking for the noises, yet was met with darkness. Victoria hissed in anger from what the young girl did to her, throwing her far acrossed the treaty line. The woman was going to follow her to finish the job, but decided to let the cycle of life finish her off instead and run for her life.
Saleaah let out a gasp that was a mixture of fear and shock as she felt her body sail through the air. She accepted her faith that was to come.
