AS THE CAR STOPPED, Mika felt the jolt of her mother's car and immediately opened her eyes revealing the school she had to call her hers. It was her first day at Hurtley, she felt embarrassed for only being able to come during semester two. She had to move with different people and schedules along with a whole different curriculum. The only thing that could prepare her for this new accommodation was her mother who had been working as a History teacher/ Sex ED substitute for now.
"Ems come on.." Josephine spoke nagging at her drowsy half asleep daughter Mika, she groaned feeling her mother jolt her even more. Mika then groaned taking her light yellow backpack out the backseat lunging back over and heading for the door to let herself out of her mom's car. Josephine placed her hand on her daughter's back laughing and smiling at her mood.
"Ems its not that bad, I mean the students can be horrifically disturbing ..but you can stop by my office at anytime, you get here before everyone else arrives- you gotta look on the bright side of things" Josephine encouraged
"You do not have to baby me, I can do this by myself Im just tired" Mika Whined.
"I understand but I know the place from the back of my hand I am really just trying to help"Josephine assured taking her hand off her Mikas back. As the two made their way to the front entrance of Hurltley, her mother pouted opening the door for her daughter to enter the building as Mika walked in rolling her eyes enhancing the presence of the school and its bright colors. She sighed as her and her mother made their way to her classroom.
"You don't even have a office its just a bummy classroom" Mika snarked
"Oi Ems its too early for arguing with you right now.."Josephine sighed going behind her large wooden desk table. She placed down her things as Mika walked over to the front door closing it revealing the body mirror on the back of the door. She looked at her outfit one more time eyeing herself down, she was wearing a white fitted top with bleached washed baggy denim jeans with a pair of black adidas campus. She turned around looking at herself some more placing her hands in her back pockets.
She looked up to see her mom staring at her.
"Yea?"Mika asked looking at her mom wondering why she kept her eyes locked on her, Mika made her way towards her mother taking out her phone.
"I'm just really glad you're back here ems.."She smiled
"Yea..it's whatever"Mika sighed leaning against her desk.
"Alright well, here's your schedule..I wanted to pair you with someone else who's new here but he knows his way around"Josephine mumbled while taking papers out of her brief case.
