AS MIKA DRIFTED OFF INTO DEEP ASLEEP, she heard a door slam awakening her.
She groaned getting up leaning on her shoulder realizing that nobody came in, she had also realized that she overslept since it was now night time even tho her mother was still gone and she heard kids laughing and talking not so far away.
Mika then got up rolling her eyes grabbing her backpack, she walked out of her mother's cabin just to come across Anthony walking past by as her mother walked away from the crowd of students.
"Oi, where were you?"he asked jolting his head towards her.
"Asleep.."she admitted
"The whole time?"he questioned in shock
"Uh yea"She added taking another sigh
"...Can I ask you something?"He asked taking a step towards her
"Sure.."She answered
"Why are you so distant?"He asked
There was a long silence.
Mika wanted to be honest and tell him how she felt but she didn't wanna just rant to him about everything.
"I don't know, it's taking longer than I expected for myself to fit in"She admitted, he looked down and nodded.
"....Do you ever wanna talk about it?"He offered
"What do you mean?"she asked
"If you wanna talk about it just lemme know- maybe..I don't know only if you want to" He added
"...Yea- oh...that's cool yea"She nodded
"Oh, okay...yea I'll see you later yea?"He asked nervously
"Yea-yes mhm"She nodded as he nodded and nervously walked away.
Mika bit her lower lip slapping her palm against her forehead realizing she had sounded very nervous and weird. She sighed and went back in her mom's cabin going to grab her shower stuff out her backpack. Once she got her stuff out her backpack she headed for the showers.
She couldn't stop thinking about how stupid she had sound.
"Yea yes okay mhm?"She mumbled to herself I couldn't have sounded less hungry to hang out with him. She then walked out the changing room in the bathroom, She was in a white shirt with regular black silky shorts. Her curls were still wet as she applied her night creams and facial products along with her body sprays. She walked out the women's locker room taking out her phone, as she made her way to her mom's cabin she heard laughing and yelling from the girls cabin. And the boys cabin was just dead, lights were off and no sound was coming from their cabin.
Mika sighed making her way to the door of her mom's cabin, she opened the door to reveal her reading in bed. Mika went and placed down her shower products and towel down as she headed back for the door.
"Oi, where ya going?"her mom questioned softly
"Uh, I left some of my things back in the locker room"Mika lied folding her lips together.
Her mother nodded with an "ohh"expression on her face as Mika turned around opening the door and making her way to the girls cabin with a smirk on her face. As she made her way over to the entrance of the girls cabin she opened the door making her way down the hall hearing most of the fuss come from Amerie and Harpers room.
Mika looked down at her phone at the text message she sent him 4 minutes ago. He didn't leave her on seen or delivered he just didn't open it so she sent another.
"Are you in the girls cabin?"
As much as she wanted to just walk in and look for him in their room, she knew mostly everyone in that room despised her. She kinda just waited outside the door hearing all of them laugh and giggle, she assumed they were playing a game. They were asking one another off guard questions and laughing once it got quiet.
A good 10 minutes passed by and all Mika could think about was how he probably was just trying to be nice but forgot about her. Or it was a dare to maybe stand her up and give her hopes up. She didn't know what was the reason or problem was but she ended up leaving with an upset look on her face.
Mika sighed as she walked in her mother's cabin closing the door behind her.
"Everyone's up in the girls cabin playing truth or dare"She sighed as she made her way over to her bags.
"Aughh, there isn't even two chaperones on this trip anymore if I've gotta take all the responsibility"Josephine sighed getting out of bed slipping on her fluffy slippers. She grabbed her phone off the nightstand as Mika smiled grabbing her bonnet and blanket out her weekend bag heading towards the couch to return back to sleep.
Mika assured herself that it was gonna be pretty easy to shut down Amerie and Harpers get aways. That's what Mika called them since when they'd have everyone's attention something bad would always be the outcome. In the back of Mika's head was what could've been the outcome if Anthony hadn't ghosted her tonight.
