Song: The Archer by Taylor Swift

~~~~~~~~~Cassini's POV~~~~~~~~~
Just as we see the blood start to show Cayde beats us to it,
"Not again." He says viewing it more as an inconvenience but his words seem to snap us out of our trance and Cap throws his shield straight into the sniper that was behind him.
I see Cayde fall to his knees and then flat and make a decision, "He's passed out, get him to the jet and I'll heal him there it's too dangerous out here."
Steve picks him up bridal style, I glance back at the sniper, too far away to see on radar, damn it. And he didn't have a mod on to extend radar so no wonder he didn't see it.
We all quickly run back to the jet and while I hover over Cayde the whole way scanning to try see if I can heal him or if I have to revive him.
Steve sets him down in the jet and I go straight over to him. I'm conscious of everyone watching but Cayden is my priority right now.
"Cant you heal him?" Peter asks concerned,
I ignore him. I need to focus. I open for a while and then seal once I'm sure everything's fixed. No one says anything until I back up a little bit.
"I can heal him, and I did. But he's not going to be up for a while. That Vex tore a couple holes right through our card here. It takes a lot out of him when I have to heal him so much, so he might be out for a while."
"Card?" Bucky questions,
"Oh that's just a joke I have with him." They don't get it (naturally) but nod anyway. We make our way back and Steve carries him again through to what I assume is the medical bay and lay him down so gently that I glance over at him.
Everyone else leaves and I keep floating and scanning and scanning and floating.
"He's going to be fine right?" I didn't realise Bucky hadn't left but clearly my movements made him anxious.
"I didn't realise you held such concern for Cayden, but yes he's going to be fine." I hesitate before asking "You're welcome to stay until he wakes up?"
This time it's his turn to hesitate "No that's fine I just wanted to make sure, he seems to be a valuable addition to the team." To which I agree.
He turns to leave but I quickly say "He doesn't hate you." He looks at me confused, "Sorry that came out wrong, he's just very protective of me the same way I am of him, I'm sure if you spent some time with him you'll see he's a kind person."
He looks down in thought but doesn't respond as he walks out.
I sigh and wait for Cayde to wake up alone.
