𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐋, the three of us were drawn back to the hospital once more. Dean, with steadfast determination, guided Sam and me towards the room where he had glimpsed the enigmatic old woman. Abruptly, he pressed us against a cold, unforgiving wall as the familiar voice of Dr. Hydaker echoed through the corridor. We held our breath as a nurse bid the doctor goodnight.
"Goodnight, Dr. Hydaker," she gently uttered while passing him.
"See you tomorrow, Betty," he replied, his tone tinged with weariness.
"Try to get some sleep," she kindly advised before continuing on her way. As soon as Dr. Hydaker disappeared from sight, we cautiously resumed our journey down the dimly lit hallway towards the old woman's room.
We came to a halt right in front of room two hundred and thirty-seven, its white door concealed behind closed shades on the viewing window. Sam extended his hand cautiously, checking if Dean was prepared for what lay beyond. I shot Dean a puzzled expression as he readied his gun. Was he genuinely planning to storm in with guns blazing? He simply shrugged in response, gesturing for Sam to gently open the door. With caution, Sam complied, easing it open without making a sound.
