However, before I could even touch it, the sound of a police radio cut through the air, jolting me out of my drowsy state. The urgent voice crackled with static, reporting an accident involving Mayor Harold that had taken place during the early hours. Instantly, my senses sharpened, a mix of curiosity and concern flooding my mind. Sam, already alert to the broadcast, shot me a knowing look. We were both aware of what needed to be done. Our instincts as hunters kicked into high gear, propelling us out of bed and into action. As I hurriedly threw on some clothes, I couldn't help but notice Dean's bed, untouched and empty.

With a mixture of exasperation and amusement, I shook my head. Some things never changed. But, as always, we had a job to do. There was no time to dwell on Dean's unfinished business; the world of the supernatural didn't wait for anyone's personal affairs. Sam began dialing Dean's number on his phone as we made our way out of the motel.

Dean's voice crackled through the phone, a mix of surprise and concern lacing his words. "Yeah?"

"Dude, there was an accident involving the Mayor," Sam's urgent tone conveyed the gravity of the situation.
