𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘, driven by our extensive research from the previous night, we were fully absorbed in our quest for answers. Breakfast had been hastily devoured, and now our makeshift headquarters resembled a collage of chaotic information, with images and articles plastered across every available surface. Sam and I were hunched over the computer, while Dean occupied himself with a book on one bed, precariously close to another.
"So, every religion in every world culture has the concept of demons and demonic possession, right? I mean Christian, Native American, Hindu, you name it," Sam began, his voice a mix of curiosity and determination.
Dean, however, seemed skeptical. "Yeah, but none of them describe anything like this," he countered, doubt coloring his words.
I interjected, eyes scanning the screen as I spoke. "Well, that's not entirely true. In Japanese folklore, there are certain demons believed to be responsible for various disasters, both natural and man-made. There's one demon for earthquakes, another for diseases," I explained, intrigue lacing my voice.
