UNLIKELY AS IT SEEMS

_

Three months has past and each and everyone was incomparable to who they were in the past.

"You think they're ready?" Lorely ask as we both watch them from the fifth floor of the building.

"For war?" she nods while looking down. "They've only tried fighting the normal mimickers, so, I think not." I commented that didn't go against what she thinks.

"They have no other choice." she added that made me look at those people with pity.

"Hmm, we have to save as many people as we can." she say those while sliding her hand to the other side of my waist.

"Lorely." I uttered her name. "We talked about this."

"I can't help it." I breath an air out of my lungs after hearing her response. As well as taking her hand off me and walk away from the window.

"You should stop yourself like I did." I implied, telling her a lie that I made up.

"I don't understand, if you gave up on that person you like for so long. Why don't you consider giving space for me to enter?" her we go again, back to our conversation a month ago after a week of her confession.

I created a lie for her to think that, since I can't be love by the person I like. Then I made myself reserve. Implying that no one else but that person can love me.

Honestly, never did it cross my mind that the friend I met inside this zone would have special feelings for me. For when it began and how long was she hiding it; I did not ask. Her confession doesn't interest me. I also have no idea as to why my curiosity isn't working during moments like that.

"I did give up; making advances on her because it was mentally and physically too tiring —however, my heart didn't stop loving her." I say directly.

A pang of pain can be seen displayed om her eyes. She was too strong at holding it in and sucking her emotions to stay hidden.

" If you called me here only to flirt me, then I guess I have to take my leave. "I turn around to make my way towards the door.

" Shannel wait. " intead of obeying her. I continued walking away, which was a wrong move because it didn't seem like she understand that I wanna leave.

" Do I really have no chance? " she while hugging me from behind. Totally stopping my plan from walking out of this room.

"Hmm." I hummed as I was too tired to answer. To deal with this question she keeps asking whoever she sneaks them on our conversation.

"What do I have to do to make you not love that person? To make you love me too?" this time, her voice was unlike before.

She was no more close to her cheerful tone when I allowed her to be herself around me. This time, she seems like she's now pleading instead of taking consideration of my feelings.

" Nothing. " I say short and direct.

Her embrace on me loosens and I took that oppurtunity to free myself from her.

"You're an amazing woman Lorely, don't end up like me— waisting time to wait for death to arrive." I say after turning around to look at her.

Devastated, she looks on the floor.
