"I cannot believe him!" Audrey shouted as Ben, Carlos, and Jay came out of the locker room. She had barley realized the other boys as she was so used to Ben coming out with Chad and Hayden and they two were roughly the same size. "The gall to ask that dark fey to the coronation. Right in front of me too." 

"First of all, could you not insult my best friend like that in front of me?" Jay said surprisingly calmly. Audrey jumped as she realized he was indeed Jay and not in fact Chad. 

"Secondly," Audrey jumped again not having noticed Carlos either as Jays whole body covered the smaller boy. "Mal would find the way you said fey highly offensive and racist."

Jay nodded and looked almost concerned, "Shes gotten into fights for lesser insults."  

Audrey scowled at the two VK boys who were being polite if not a little threatening. Ben cut off what was sure to be an insulting reply. "Audrey, can we talk alone," he rubbed the back of his neck anxiously. The two figured that perhaps Holly's spell was more refined than Mal's. It would make more sense. 

Either that to the love spell effected people based on the caster. Holly was much more subtle and then Mal and that's what Ben was doing now, being subtle. Mal was explosive and forthright and that's exactly how Hayden had made himself during his song. 

Audrey huffed, "gladly."  She stuck up her nose and turned on her heels walking away from the three, fully expecting Ben to follow her. 

"I'm so sorry about her," Ben sighed looking at the two boys for any hint of anger. Jay seemed relatively calm, slightly annoyed but not angry. Carlos looked fine but Ben saw a spark of fury burning underneath the surface just behind his eyes. 

Jay placed a hand on his shoulder, "It's fine. We'll wait for Hayden you go ahead." As Ben walked away, he heard Carlos growled animalistically. "Just because you can speak to dogs doesn't mean you need to act like one," he caught Jay saying. He should really catalogue the VK's powers and what could set them off. Fairy godmother had a list of all the children with magical roots in the school, himself included, and their triggers so that everyone knew to stay away from certain topic or what not to do. Like you didn't tell Elio that Elsa had overreacted or tell Makana that someone threw trash in the water.

Something told him cataloguing the Vk's would make everyone including themselves safer. "Ugh like I was saying," Audrey huffed snapping him out of his stupor as he approached her. "Can you believe that boy! I told him to stay away from her and instead he runs headfirst into her arms! He is so naive!" 

Ben rubbed the back of his neck, "Audrey, don't you think you're being-" 

"She just wants to finish what her mother started." 

"I get that you wanna protect your brother but-"

"Shes gonna put him to sleep just like her mother did to our mom." 

"Audrey!" Ben finally raised his voice making Audrey flinch. "Sorry," he apologized running a hand over his face. "I get that you're worried about Hayden, but Mal hasn't done anything to warrant this much concern." He knew that wasn't entirely true. The love spell was concerning but Mal hadn't really taken any free will away from Hayden, she just made him expressive, very expressive. 

"She's a dark fairy!" Audrey said like he was a little slow. 

He shook his head, "No, she's a fairy, dark and light just depend on their actions, and dark and light magic should only be labeled by what it's used for." 

"She was raised to be evil Ben they all were; they can't change." 

He couldn't believe her; the point of his parent's story was that people could change. He shook his head, "I can't do this anymore," he huffed under his breath.
