Before today none of the Vk's had ever seen fireworks and the blue and yellow ones that were showering over the school seemed like the most beautiful things in the world. Holly, now in a shorter knee length dress and with a bandage on her cheek, grinned and bounced tapping Bens arms excitedly, she grabbed Mal's hand and ran towards the stage both girls giggling like mad. Ben let his shoulders relax as he saw the two join the party and the smiled the decorated Hollys face. She looked so happy and so relaxed. He realized that the whole time he had known her, she had been shouldering the weight of what she thought she had to do, and her whole life she had taken to caring for her friends. Today was the first time in her life that she was truly able to relax. She would never stop being a sister to them, but they had other people to count on now, Carlos was even getting a whole new family. She could finally breath and be a normal sixteen-year-old girl for once in her life.

Ben didn't have to long to ponder though because before he knew it, he was lifted into the air by a few of his friends, encouraged by Hayden of course, and lifted onto their shoulders. Ben laughed as he was carried over to the stage.

The boy king's eyes widened, and a flush worked its way up his cheeks hearing Holly sing. He had never heard her sing, she looked so at peace.

Hayden was in pretty much the same state as Ben, his anxious and nervous air returning all at once.

He saw Holly coming towards him, he smiled brightly and held out a hand to her. She wasted no time grasping it in her own allowing him to twirl her letting embers fly off the ends of her hair. Ben didn't even flinch as they touched down on his exposed hands and cheeks, he would never be afraid of her fire. She would never hurt him.

Evie held out a hand for Doug who eagerly took it, and spun her around, she giggled and spun him as well much to his delighted surprise.

She spun her way over to Hayden grasping his hand tightly. He took hers just as tight letting her know that he would never fault her for today.
