Holly sat crisscross on a chair at her and Ben's table in the library it was the only one that wasn't in front of the sinfully large windows allowing in Apollos cursed realm on her. Her glasses and jacket were off. Glasses pushed up into her hair and her blue and black leather jacket thrown over the back of her chair leaving her in just a black tank top. Ben sat across from her both of them pouring over ancient texts looking for anything that would stop her from killing ever plant she passed. It was starting to look like any books involving ancient powerful spells had been removed from the library and Ben had three guesses on why that was and all of them involved Holly and Hadie and none of them painted a very unflattering picture of fairy godmother to him.
She sighed and put another book in their read pile. The had two stacks of book on the table one of read books and another of unread books. She picked up another and smiled, "Ooo the Theogony."
Ben looked up and smiled at her excited face, when she got excited, her red eyes let out a light glow and the ring of blue flame birthmark on her arm seemed to ripple like real flames. Ben had asked about the mark that encircled her upper forearm once. Holly had explained that her and Hadie had it, it was something akin to a birthmark. Her sister didn't have it because she had more of their mothers' powers than their fathers. Something that didn't bother the sister as she'd rather not be known as Hades' child. "What's a Theogony?"
"It's kind of like the ancient Grecian equivalent to the Christian story of Adam and Eve. It explains the creation of the world, the gods, and mankind. If there's a way to control my powers, it's either in here or in Homers stories which are mysteriously missing," She expression was riddled with dismay.
Ben wrinkled his nose, "yeah I have my theories about that."
Holly sighed she figured he was talking about his gods hating father who was angry about the fate he would have after death. "I think we're done for the day," she decided standing up to stretch out her back and pull on her jacket.
The prince quickly got up, following the princess of the underworld's actions. Holly drops her glasses and starts gathering up the books. "If were done for the day, how about that date?" It had been about a week since he had broken up with Audrey and he had wanted to bring up them going on the date but wasn't sure how.
Her eyes widened behind her glasses, she quickly schools her expression and clears her throat, "Um yeah we can do that." She heads to the librarian so she can check out the copy of the Theogony, "Can you give me a couple hours though? I should really get ready and start some homework."
"Yeah of course no problem. I should get some foo ready anyway," his face lighting up in pure bliss as he bids her goodbye and heads to the kitchens. As soon as he's out of sight Holly lets her nervousness show, "I need Evie."

Mal was splayed out on the lawn with Hayden mal telling him stories about her time growing up on the isle. "I had it better than most. My mom didn't express her love or anything, but I got good food, and my mattress barley had any springs sticking out."
Hayden looked almost sick, "The bar is in the underworld." He shook his head, "Good food and a decent bed shouldn't be luxuries."
Mal crossed her arms and looked away, "Well we weren't as lucky as you guys."
"it's not luck, it's common human decency. Adam should be ashamed of himself," He shook his head and muttered to himself under his breath, "most want to avoid diving punishment, Adam is running headfirst into the gates of the underworld."
Mal tried to hold back her laugh but, in the end, it was useless. Thankfully smoke didn't flood out of her nose like her sister, and her tears cause the earth beneath her to die like her brother, but it still wasn't a pretty sight. At least in her opinion.
