Chapter 4 - Resolve

Sakar Ren walked through the hallways of the Malvence. She was driven by her determination to hunt and find the scavenger, Rey Skywalker and the Jedi Knight, Rey's father, Luke Skywalker.

Whatever thoughts were driving within her. Whatever provocations which did not deter but rather motivate her to press on, she'd find him.

Feeling a tinge, Sakar Ren came to a sudden stop. She felt his presence looming behind.

"Why are you so eager to find him?" he questioned her. Then, stepping out into the open, Kylo Ren revealed himself. "I can't help but notice how determined you are. I can't help but realize your desperation." He then asked her, stepping towards her, "What does he mean to you? What does Skywalker mean to you?" He questioned this, referring to Luke Skywalker.

Sakar Ren didn't say a word. She didn't say a word, not out of fear but rather she saw-

"You lived your life so lowly in the dark. You were surrounded by those who were malicious to you. You were beaten by those who've motivated you to become who you are now. Isn't that, right?" Kylo Ren sensed inside of her.

"But Skywalker," he said to her. "I cannot sense him as your chief motivation or," he paused, "or are you concealing it from me."

Sakar Ren wouldn't even turn her head to look at him.

Boldening his monotone voice, Kylo Ren said with his closed cross-saber in his hand. "It doesn't matter. You'll never reach Skywalker, and I won't let you come close." Then, quickly igniting his cross-saber, its red blade flickering sparks, he slashed at her.

With a single swift movement, Sakar Ren spun around igniting her own saber catching Kylo Ren's attack. She looked at him through the eyeholes of her mask and spoke sinisterly through her monotone voice, opening herself to say, "You are too predictable. You don't know how to hide your own emotions."

Swinging her saber, Sakar Ren returned to Kylo Ren's attack.

Kylo Ren said to her with his weapon held high, "You aren't leaving this ship until you've told me why you want him!"

Sakar Ren then ignited both sides of the double-sided saber, but the sides crackled with the red flickering light. "If you were strong enough."

With this said, Kylo Ren yelled out a battle cry crossing sabers with Sakar Ren.

In the towering depths of the colossal Malvence, a cosmic behemoth cleaving through the star-strewn void, a clash of wills and sabers unfolded between two Knights of Ren. Kylo Ren, his imposing figure draped in obsidian robes, ignited his flickering, red-bladed cross-saber, its crimson glow illuminating the shadows. Across from him, Sakar Ren, a formidable warrior with an unyielding audacity, brandished her own flickering red-bladed saber, its radiant energy pulsating with an untamed ferocity.

Kylo Ren swung his cross-saber, his saber's blade nearly catching the tail end of Sakar Ren's cloak. Sakar spun his sword and caught Kylo Ren's second attack. She returned his attack and swept her blade forwards, the end of her blade nearly slashing his chest as he bent backwards to avoid her precise attack.

The air crackled with anticipation as their blades met in a deafening clash. Sparks flew, illuminating the intricate dance of their saber techniques. Kylo Ren's raw power surged through his cross-saber, delivering blows that unstable rattled the surface floor. Sakar Ren, with her agility and precision, gracefully deflected his attacks, her blade moving like a serpent through the turbulent melee.

One a bridge in a hanger harboring TIE-Fighters, sweeping across the floor, staying low to the ground, Sakar Ren sent her blade upwards towards Kylo Ren's helm. Kylo Ren deflected the attack and swung his blade in hammering downwards motion. Sakar Ren dive rolled backward avoiding the attack, but Kylo Ren's attack cut through the metal gratings of the bridge causing it to collapse. Both Knights of Ren fell but used the Force to guide and land solid on the ground below them.
