My name is Panchi. That is not really my name, but just call me that anyways. Any pronunciation is fine, I'm not picky about that. I have a whole "tragic" backstory, but who cares? I'm more of a "here-and-now" kind of person if you know what I mean.

And now I'm yanking the doors off jail cells, releasing thankful prisoners from unjust confinement. I only tangentially care about these people. I'm doing it because, heck why not? I'm here. What else was I going to use these powers for? Berry Blitzkrieg sure did imprison a lot of people just for being from the Monster Kingdom. I can't imagine arresting people based on where you lived. Weirdos, I gotta say. They must be looking for reasons to hate people.

"We should check the male side." Said Alyssa

Oh right. "Were there a lot of males with you when you came here?"

"Oh, none. Only women in our group. I'm just saying, there might be Langweilig citizens locked up in there."

"Only women?" That peaked my curiosity. "Why would there only be women?"

"Well, the ships we had were cramped and only had one living space, locker room, bathrooms. The men left on their own ship and we left on ours. You know, for privacy's sake."

"Oh, I guess that makes sense."

We went to the men's side, but it seems like the evacuating langweiligians took their prisoners along with them. Considering there were about a thousand on the women's side, I guess it makes sense they didn't have time to bring all of us. I leave explaining everything to the girls and I head up to the mansion to reunite with the mage and the old lady.

"Let's do this team!"

Noodle girl gave the call and I went for my target. This guy was some kind of wannabe minutian, thinking just because he's 120 centimeters tall that he can mimic my kind? You might need to lose some height if you want to match what I'm bringing.

When he saw me coming he tried to move, but I grabbed him by the leg and tossed him clear down the road. I wanted to get him far away from those two so I can cut loose on the guy. If this guy is as tough as he acts, this could get messy as hell.

As soon as I ran my way to him, he was ready for me. He threw a punch, I threw a punch, they collided and the blast from it created a noticeable divot in the concrete. This was Special Technique #100: God's strength. This was a passive technique, in that whenever a minutain gains it, it'll always be active. He wasn't holding back with that punch. Thanks to that, I have a good idea what his strength is, and judging on that, I could overpower him if I wanted to. However, the collateral damage would be immense. Plus anyways, they don't call it an "art" when you're just striking people really hard, that's just boxing.

He seemed to not get the memo about that as he went for another punch. Instead of meeting his attack with my own, I used it to my advantage. I latched on to his wrist and used the momentum of his punch to toss him straight into the ground, landing head first. Technique #1 baby. You're enemy's own energy is their worst enemy. He moaned as he stumbled to get up. I guess the fact he endured that is proof of his credentials. If he hadn't used Technique #12 and dispersed the energy of the impact, that would have shattered his neck.

As soon as he got his third wind, he went on the offensive. He tried to use #47: Vampire Jabs. This is when you strike at vital points of the body, areas where the blood flows the strongest. If you do it just right, it'll slow down your opponent's blood flow as well as sap some of their energy. There was one problem with this though: I'm way too small of target. This guy likely trained with people his own height. He couldn't even lay a finger on me, no less my vital points.

Next up he tried the Special Technique #88: Fox Trickery. He channels his energy into a physical manifestation of green fire around the hand and then aims for the eyes. I use Special Technique #53: Harpy's Tailwind to manifest my energy into wind. I run past him guiding the wind next to me, spreading his own fire up his arm as I ran past. He quickly used #12 to send the energy of the fire out into the air in front of him, killing the flames.

He laughed. "I got you to do a non-passive technique there. I thought you were going to just dodge me this whole time."

"You can learn a lot more from watching. That's something my Matriarch used to say to me." I replied.

"As in the Matriarch leading the clan you abandoned?"

"Yep, that one."

He laughed again. "Based on your profile, I didn't think you had any attachments. Is that why you're fighting to protect that evil monster over there? Because you care about her?"

"It's because she's not evil that I must protect her." I cracked my knuckles and started to walk his direction. This guy was pissing me off.

"Running to protect others huh? Guess you're just your typical minutian in the end."

"No." I stop walking and instead moved so fast that I practically teleported in front of him. (#105) "I'm exceptional."

I used #54 Harpy's missile to launch myself up, my fist colliding with his face. I could hear his jaw break. Then when I was over him, I used the same technique to fire myself down into him, giving him a good #78 Minotaur's Stomp. As he was dazed from that attack, I pressed my palm on the height of his back to drain his energy. Non-minutians have limits. He realized what I was doing and used #2 to jump back onto his feet from prone. This threw me backwards, but I easily landed on my feet and dispersed the energy of my momentum into the ground.

It was time to end this. I appeared in front of him again, but this time I was preparing a #150. I manifested something in my palm that appeared white, but it wasn't a light. No this was like a hole in reality localized in my hand. I blasted it directly into his belly. He stumbled, and fell on his behind. He felt his stomach, and there was a hole there that wasn't there before, one that was slowly spreading, eating away at him.

"#150: Void decay." He said stunned. "I'm, being wiped from existence..."

"Yep." I said plainly.

"You... you truly are a Master. I'm sorry for doubting you."

"Nope. I should be the one that's sorry. I'm the one that killed you after all. To be honest, I meant to incapacitate you, but I was kinda lost in the moment."

As I said, I was more of a "here-and-now" type of person. That way of thinking has its drawbacks.

Eventually enough of his middle was eaten through that he topples in half on the floor, both halves being eating away by the decay. His upper half was lying on the ground now, his eyes were swimming. I got down on my knees to his level and met his gaze.

"If it's any consolation, I'll keep you alive in my memories." I told him.

"Thank... you..." He uttered out.

Not enough of his body was existing to do much else. I watched him until he was consumed completely. I had to make sure he wasn't alone as his final moments went by, that was the least I could do for him. I made a little prayer to the Hero of Minutians. Even though he was my enemy, and he made me angry, I still hoped my fallen ancestors were protecting him and giving him a chance at redemption in the afterlife.

However, my mourning was interrupted by the sound of a loud explosion in the distance. Without a second thought, I ran in that direction to see if I could help.
