We eventually touched down back in town. Me and Foxman stumble a bit after dangling off of Lexine for so long. Meanwhile the vampire turned off her sun protection and switched to her parasol. She struggled to keep her wings under the shade.

"I'm going to need to fill up later." She stated. "Considering I got these wings for Anne, think Sotakeh will let me take a withdrawal?"

"Please don't bite my wife." Replied Foxman.

"I mean, who else am I going to ask?" Complained Lexine. "Anne doesn't have blood. I don't feel close enough to Raina to ask her. Panchi's blood would probably fight me. The civilians would be freaked out if I asked and probably wouldn't be worth a lot of coin anyways. Sotakeh is the only one."

"What about me?" He asked.

"I mean, I don't want Sotakeh to get the wrong idea."

"But you don't care if I get the wrong idea?"

"Heh, you know full well I wouldn't date her twice."

"No I don't know that. Have you seen you two together?"

She ignored him and turned to me. "I guess we'll be cutting you loose, Anne. Still a bit of the scheduled day left so go do whatever you like!"

"Hey Lexine?" I asked.

"Yes, Anne?"

"You have my permission to move into the mansion, if you like."

She was taken aback. "A-are you sure you can trust me like that? Shouldn't you give me more time to build up-"

"I'm very much positive in this decision." Sotakeh trusts her, so does Foxman, and she's done nothing but help me ever since she got here. However, it was her off-the-cuff genuine care for my safety earlier that sealed the deal. "I can confidently say that I trust you!"

Lexine's eyes were shimmering as she gave off a wide smile. She abruptly pulled me into a hug. "Thank you."

"You're very much welcome!"

She pulled away. She was practically bouncing as she moved around. "So much to do! I've got to get my stuff and move it to the mansion. I'm so glad I didn't unbox anything! Oh first I've got to drink Sotakeh real quick."

"Hey!" Foxman complained.

"I promise I'll work hard for you, Princess!" She said as she ran off. Foxman chased after her. I was left on my own. I was genuinely happy for Lexine.

"Excuse me, Princess."

I turned to see a pig lady in a red cheerleader outfit. she had squiggly blond hair, deep blue eyes, and red finger nail polish. She had words on her breasts that read "Eat Meat."

"Oh! I don't believe I've met you. Hello!"

"Yes, my name is Annabelle. Considering that would be confusing for you, just call me Belle." She extended out a cloven hand, I extended my noodle arm. I positioned the tip of my arm in her palm and we just kind of did a shaking motion. I really need to normalize bowing as a greeting.

"Nice to meet you, Belle! Anything I can help you with?"

"I'm starting a restaurant as soon as my shop gets approved. I'm handing out fliers for it. Maybe you can take your mage friend there for our grand opening."

"Oh, she's my girlfriend now."

She snorted loudly. "You're friend. You can take your friend to my restaurant."

...is she for real?

"Anyways, please take a flier." She pulled one out of the stack and holds it out to me. I cautiously take one. "Thank you"
