Y/N was born and raised within the confines of Vault 33, a tightly-knitted community deep within the earths surface. With him and Lucy being friends as long as they can remember, but when Y/N's mother tragically passing away from an unknown illness and his father apparently passing away as well he sought comfort within Lucy who also recently lost her mother, with both of leaning on each other for comfort and support making their friendship stronger
As adults Y/N was given the job of Vault security due to his proficiency with weapons, combat ability, and tactical awareness. Despite the relative safety of the Vault, Y/N always wanted to explore the outside world with him spending much of his free time reading pre-war history books. During this time, Y/N started to realize that his feeling towards Lucy started to change and with him wanting to be more then friends but his fear of rejection and ruining their friendship stopped him from asking her out.
His skills are put to a test when a bunch of raiders comes to their vault and attack, with him being able to repel a couple of raiders. When he hears that Lucy's dad has been kidnapped by said raiders, Lucy and him decide to go out in the wasteland to bring him back.
