The vibrant hues of the kimonos fluttered like summer butterflies as the girls arrived, their traditional garb a stark contrast to the usual roughness that surrounded Toman. Hina's kimono was a delicate shade of lavender, soft ripples of fabric cascading around her as she moved with an elegance that made Takemichi's heart skip.

"Everyone looks amazing," he murmured, his eyes tracing the vivid patterns that adorned the garments.

As laughter and playful banter filled the air, Hina leaned in close, her voice barely above a whisper. "Why don't we split up for a bit? Some alone time with our dates?"

Takemichi nodded, feeling a sudden rush of nervous excitement. But before they could wander off, the sky grumbled, and a sudden downpour drenched the festival in sheets of rain. The group scattered, seeking shelter under canopies and stalls, but Takemichi had another idea.

"Let's head to the forest! The trees might give us some cover," he suggested, taking Hina's hand and leading her away from the chaos.

They dashed through the muddy grounds, raindrops pelting them like a thousand tiny drums. As they reached the sheltering boughs of the forest, Takemichi caught sight of two familiar figures huddled together beneath a sprawling tree.

It was Mikey and Ayame, their bodies pressed closely in an attempt to share warmth and protection from the relentless rain. Unaware of prying eyes, Mikey cradled Ayame's face in his hands, his gaze piercing into hers with an intensity that seemed to stop the very rain from falling.

"I've never been good with words, Ayame," he confessed, his voice rough yet vulnerable against the patter of the rain. "But I know this—my life is better with you in it and I love you."

The world held its breath as their lips met, a kiss that was both a revelation and a homecoming. Ayame's fingers trembled as they traced the contours of Mikey's face, her touch as gentle as the breeze that stirred the leaves above them.

"I've loved you since we were kids, Mikey," she whispered back, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears mixed with raindrops. She pulled him closer, sealing their promise with another kiss, deeper and more fervent than before.

Takemichi felt Hina's grip tighten on his hand, a silent acknowledgment of the private world they had accidentally glimpsed. He knew they should look away, give their friends the privacy of their moment, but the raw honesty of their emotions held him captive—a testament to the bonds that tied Toman together, even in the midst of storms.

Hina's voice, soft as the rain-soaked leaves, pulled Takemichi from the tender tableau unfolding before them. "Takemichi," she murmured, her words laced with a gentle respect for the intimacy they had stumbled upon, "let's give them some space."

He nodded, the silent dance of emotion between Mikey and Ayame still rippling through his mind as he allowed Hina to guide him away. They backed away quietly, leaving the rain to whisper its own chorus over the newly revealed lovers, while Takemichi held onto the warmth of Hina's hand, pondering the intricacies of the heart and the bonds that tied them all together.

Takemichi's phone vibrated against the damp earth, an intrusive buzzing that fractured the hushed reverence of the rain-soaked forest. Sighing, he fished the device from the pocket of his soaking yukata, his brow furrowing as Yamagishi's name flashed on the screen.

"Yamagishi, man, this really isn't a good time," Takemichi said, his voice laced with irritation as he pressed the phone to his ear, turning away from Hina to avoid her curious gaze.

"Bro, I wouldn't be calling if it wasn't important," Yamagishi's urgent tone crackled through the receiver, slicing through the patter of raindrops on leaves. "You gotta tell Draken to watch his back. Some guys are seriously heated, and they're not all happy with the truce between him and Mikey."
