Polygamy

Vainglory does not make you, though it does break you,
A vice of all well to do believers, though you may lack faith.
God blessed his children with the potential for sin,
Blessed you are immensely, gratitude you lack,
For he does not know your name lest you not say his,
Speaking every language, except prayers of the invisible man.
His sins are outlined well.
You follow them religiously, though you belong to no temple.
Oh my love, the embodiment of chastity,
With a virgin tongue that dares not touch a dirty mouth
Yet, you suck on the serpent's bookmark,
With text left illegible.
You bow to your knees for no one
Now, unable to stand.
You believed in the staff of Caduceus,
Yet healed, you are not,
Injecting yourself with more venom,
And letting the archer hunt you for the antidote.
Polytheism is a luxury,
Reserved only for those, who are hell-bent.
