"Jaana!"

"Jaana!"

I broke the tormenting silence, and she hummed coyly.

"I've been visiting the office for longer hours for the past few days. Would you not ask me the reason?"

I asked, bringing our intertwined fingers close to my mouth, and pecking the back of her hand softly.

"I trust you, thakur ji!"

She mumbled in a low voice. Ohho! My Jaana is too innocent for the world. I hope she never gets to face the reality of this gruesome world.

"It isn't like that. I wanted you to ask me about our future. I know you trust me, and I'll never break that faith. I promise you, Jaana!"

I glanced at her while muttering the last words, and she blushed.

"Please tell me if you've planned something!"

She muttered, in a low, sweet and feminine voice.

"I know that you don't like me getting involved in this blood business of my family, so I've planned something for us."

She tightened her grip around my fingers, and inhaled sharply.

"I've an MBA degree, and all of us - the brothers, handle the family business, be it legal or illegal, but Jai is not too much into the business, like degree wise... because he is a mechanical engineer by degree."

She nodded, listening to me carefully.

"So I talked to him regarding this, and he agreed resentfully. Um...I want to shift to Chicago with you."

I completed, she cleared her throat, but didn't say anything.

"Jaana! Did you listen to me?"

I enquired, holding her shoulders and turning her to face me.

"Where is Chicago?"

She asked, hesitation was evident in her voice.

"It's in USA...um... America! You know that?"

I mumbled, emphasising the last word. She may have heard about 'America'.

"Um..yes! But it's not in India, right?"

She asked, lowering her gaze.

"No! It's quite away."

I ogled her lotus face intensely.

"Seas away!"

I whispered, and she peeped into my eyes.

"What about Ma and bhaiya?"

She quavered, her eyes turned teary.

"Oh my Jaana! Don't worry about them. Our brothers will take proper care of Ma, and Balraj bhaiya is fine now."
