Failed Escape

It was a super boring day today, and Adam really just wasn't having it. He walked over to Lute and she just looked up at him, confusion written all over her face. 

"Why don't we just..like..escape this shitty ass place?" He asked like it was a normal everyday thing to just run away from work.

"Sir, I have a lot of important papers about the next extermination to fill out," Lute replied, the mask she was wearing changing along with her facial movements. She looked back down at the paper, fiddling with the pen in her hand.

"Oh come onn, please Dangertits?" Adam started to whine, really wanting to leave but not wanting to be alone. Lute sighed before dropping the pen on the table, and turning all of her attention towards him.

"What's the plan? We can't just fly out, Sera might see us." Lute questioned, not wanting to be caught.

"Oh, I have no fucking clue. Just— make a plan 'n shit I don't know." Adam said casually, and Lute just sighed. She stood up before walking to the door, putting an ear against it to see if she can hear anything. Once she deemed the coast was clear, she waved him over. She opened the door slightly, looked through the crack, and slipped out of the room. Adam followed, just..not as quiet. They crept through the halls, and it was when they were next to the bathroom they heard Sera walking towards them. Adam grabbed Lute and threw her into a bathroom stall, getting in it after her. There was only one bathroom since Adam was the only male and it was deemed unnecessary to make separate ones. Adam closed the toilet seat and stood on it, then picking up Lute bridal style to hide their feet. Luckily, Adams robe was just above the crack every bathroom stall had. Adam put a hand over Lutes mouth, worried she would squeak at some point. That would do nothing anyways because it was covering the mask, not her actual mouth. Lutes eyes widened as they heard someone enter the stall next to them, most likely Sera. Lute closed her eyes tight, putting her head into Adams chest, making him flustered under his mask. They were cramped so close together, they could hear each others heartbeats. Once Sera finished using the bathroom and washed her hands, she walked out, her footsteps getting quieter and quieter. They stayed in that position for another minute, before Lute looked up at him and he set her down carefully. They were both shocked about everything that just happened. They ran out the bathroom stall and out of the bathroom entirely, running to the offices entrance before finally, after a dreaded fifteen minuets. They were about to take off flying when they heard Sera behind them.

"And what do you two think your doing?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Uhm, sorry ma'am I must of forgotten to tell you we had to leave early because of a training session." Lute attempted to lie, trying to get them out of the situation. But Sera knew Lute never forgot things like that.

"Bullshit, get back to work." She said sternly, glaring at them. Lute started to grab Adams hand, while he started to get all whiny again. They flew through the halls this time, not worried about Sera seeing them through windows anymore .

"I should've just said no." Lute mumbled, ashamed of herself for getting into this mess. Adam did not feel any remorse, whatsoever. 

"But ya didn't!" Adam exclaimed while grinning. Once they got back to their office, Lute practically threw him into a chair, before sitting back down in front of her pen and papers. She just sighed, then started mumbling angry curses as she picked up her pen.

"Dude, I hate fucking Sera! That bitch!" Adam started going off on a rant, and a loud one to. Luckily the office canceled out a lot of sound, so Sera wouldn't be able to hear. Lute just chuckled slightly, her mood changing pretty quickly once Adam started to rant even more. She was also a little flustered still from that bathroom incident. She smiled to herself as Adam ranted, and she continued to fill out the papers as her mind just kept replaying that one, sweet moment.
