I was sitting at a table watching Jace play a weird version of hockey with Rambo, Cody, and Sam. Instead of a puck, they were using a yam and their goal was an open cooler. Jace scored and was excited. I'm glad his glitch is gone just before the showcase. I felt someone tap my arm and I turned my head.

"Could you sign this?" Maya asked, handing me a marker.

"Yeah, sure." I replied, signing it quick and handing it back to her.

"Alright, listen up!" Coach Cole said. "So, we're going to the summer showcase!" We all clapped and cheered. "Yeah, this is what we've been waiting for, right? So, this year we're gonna be playing at the Anaheim Ducks Practice Facility, which is pretty cool! And with the way we all came together, I made the decision that we are going to be playing under the Ducks' name." He added.

"Anyway, I look forward to be coaching this game more than anything, but this year, I'm gonna take a step back. Coach Alex is going to take the helm this year," he announced. "And I'm just gonna go as a Dad!" We all clapped for him before being sent off to go get ready for the showcase.

When we arrived, I saw the big, silver trophy. Then I noticed a few scouts wandering around the front entrance before making their ways into the arena. I felt a nervous pit in my stomach like I was going to throw up, but took a deep breath and held myself together.

"Alright, guys! We've got this! We are ready! Just one more thing!" Alex said, then a man walked around the corner.

"What's up, guys? I'm Cam!" He introduced himself. "Cam is here today because the Ducks' organization has made us something super special!" Cam pulled out a pro jersey with Evan's last name on it and handed it to him. We all took our jerseys and threw them over our shoulders or just held it in our hands.

We made our way down the hall and turned the corner. That's when my entire mood was changed. I slowly stepped towards the front of the group behind Alex. "Coach T, what the hell?" She said.

"Alex. Morrow." He stated. "Who is that guy?" Jace whispered to me. "The old ducks coach." I answered. "Oh."

"Oh, Parker," T said, looking at me. "Heard about your daddy. Sorry, but then again, he kinda deserved it after yelling in my face with a mega phone." I dropped my bag and stepped forward, punching him across the face for the third time. He let out a groan and grabbed his bleeding nose.

"Are you kidding me? Do you know how expensive my nose job was?" He exclaimed. Alex grabbed my shoulder and pulled me back. "Good girl. Delilah." She whispered. I smirked proudly before glaring at T.

"Anyways, when we beat you today, I'm gonna have my sweet revenge." He said. "I don't think today's game is gonna turn out the way you think it will," Alex told him. "Especially now since you just pissed off a Portman. That's definitely not gonna end well." "A Portman?" He questioned.

"Yup! Daughter of Original Mighty Duck, Dean Portman. Number 21. A Bash Brother!" Nick told him. I could tell T was slightly intimidated by the look he was trying not to give me. "Alright, Ducks, move on."

As we walked past T, I jokingly lunged at him. He jumped in free, pulling two of his players in front of him. I laughed before he cleared his throat and kept walking.

While we were in the locker room, suiting up, AJ walked over to me.

"Hey, Parker." He said. "Hey, AJ." I responded. "What you did out there- punching that coach. That was pretty badass!" "Thanks, and you know, that wasn't my first time hitting that guy. I laid my hands on him twice in the past." "Damn, so he was always just like that?" "Pretty much." I answered. "Well, uh, good luck out there." "You too."
