Luna's POV:

"I say we plan for 8pm, its not too early, but its also dark enough out so not many people will notice." I say, motioning to the group of people and family who surround me.

Its been a week since Scarlett has moved into the house, and we have all been at her side for every second of it.

Except right now.

Right now we were working on a plan to attack the Hunters, to surprise them and get Livia back. I don't want Scarlett near any of this. She will stay in the house so she can stay safe, but I don't want her involved in any part of this plan. I need her to be safe, but she wont be safe anymore if she gets involved.

Thats why instead of me, a group of guards are with her,

although she will never be truly protected unless shes with me.

"Okay, how many people will we need in this? Any more family." My dad responds to me. His muscular arms were crossed against his chest, a serious look held on his face as he awaited my answer.

"I hope not, with the group we have here now we should be okay. But, for extra safety measures, let the rest of the family know incase something goes wrong. We will tell them our plan, and incase of emergency one of us will contact them." I say

"I will reach out to the family and let them know to be on guard at all times." My dad says, assuring me as I let out a sigh.

"When we do this, I want high security detail on Scarlett. I need her locked up in this very room with guards surrounding the room, with even more inside of the room. They need access to all weapons, just incase anything happens." I say sternly, not leaving out a single detail about where she will be.

Since we don't know what the Hunters are up too, its only right to make sure that Scarlett is hidden away safely until we know its okay for her to be out. I cant risk anything happening to her, especially since shes not a vampire. Shes not trained, at all. Thats why I need most of our guards here, because if they get to Scarlett, I don't even want to imagine what they will do to her.

I would fight every person that even steps foot near this house if it means that she will be safe and protected.

"Yes, we will get that done" My father assures me, giving me a tight smile before answering a phone call. He quickly walks away, leaving me in the underground room.

"Luna" My mother says from next to me.

"Yes?" I reply to her.

"Why do you care so much about how safe Scarlett is?" She asks me, her brows furrowed in confusion.

"When I first laid my eyes on that girl, my heart skipped a beat. My body attracted to her, like we were two opposite magnets. When I found out I was her boss, I realized it wouldn't be appropriate to be anything more with her, and that hurt me inside. Our love felt forbidden, it felt like a secret, and god I loved every second of it. Ive slowly gotten to know the girl for who she truly is, what she is like, and how she truly feels around her tough exterior. Ive fallen in love with the girl, Id lose my life to save hers." I reply to my mom, giving her a tight smile.

"Honey, what if this doesn't work out?" She asks me.

"What do you mean?" I question the woman

"What if this plan goes sideways, what if Scarlett has to fend for herself? What if they get to her?" She says, her bros furrowing as she gives me a worried look.

Silence

Thats what it was. Silence. The room went quiet, so quiet we could hear the wind from the cold of the outside air.

"I would give up my whole life, I would give up every little thing I have to protect her. She will be okay, I assure you all." I state, before walking away from the group. Or, maybe I was walking away from the conversation.

Was I assuring them,

or was I assuring me?

The thoughts clouded my head as I took the elevator up the familiar house, it gliding up floors until I made it to the 2nd floor.

The elevator doors opened, causing me to quickly walk off of it and into the hallway. I walked down the long hallway until ai reached a certain door. I placed my finger onto the scanner, it quickly scanning my fingerprint before allowing me access into the room.

I slowly shut the door behind me, before turning around to face the inside of the room. There she was.

My beautiful girl was laid across the bed, the soft blankets covering her perfect body. Her long soft hair was spread across the pillows, where her lips were open slightly with small air coming out.

I smiled at the scene. How amazingly cute Scarlett is. How did I get so lucky?

I walked out of the bedroom, as I walked into the attached walk in closet. I grabbed a pair of grey sweatpants and one of my usual white t-shirts.

I tossed off my work clothes, before sliding on the comfortable sweatpants and t-shirt.

I walked out of the closet, walking back into the main part of the bedroom.

I slowly slid myself into the bed, turning off the light next to me, making the room go almost completely dark. I covered the soft blankets over my body, before snuggling up right behind Scarlett.

I draped my arms around her waist, nuzzling my face into the crook of her neck softly. I inhaled her scent, before letting out a long stressful sigh.

"I love you so much" I mumble against her, as I felt myself fall into a state of unconsciousness.
