Scarlett's POV:

I sighed as I shut the large door behind me. I took in the large house I was now in, taking in the familiar scent of the house. Ive spent less than a week here, yet it feels like i've been here for years.

My week has consisted of staying inside, going on runs, and binge watching every show on Netflix, all with at least 3 guards by my side at all times.

It's not that I'm not used to body guards, I used to have them all the time. These guards are just different from my usual ones. My old ones would make decent conversation with me, but these guards just stay still and guarded. They don't talk to me unless it's needed. Im not alone, and yet I'm still lonely.

I made my way through the house, the 3 guards behind me, following me as I made my way to the basement of the house, hoping to find Luna there.

It was about midday, and I just got back from one of my usual runs. Just a few quick miles to start the day. Even if I was a little nervous.

Not a little, a lot.

Luna will be gone in just a few hours, and I will be all alone in a house full of people I don't know. I also wont have any contact with Luna, so If anything happens, Im the last person to know.

Which pissed me off.

I stepped down from the last step of the stairs, before swiftly taking a right and heading straight toward the tall blonde woman.

"Hey" I say from behind her, causing her to quickly turn around to face me.

I eyed the outfit she wore, which consisted of a black compression shirt and a black pair of cargo pants. She had her usual pair of house slippers on, meaning she had been down here for a while.

"Hi baby" She says, reaching her arms out to me which I quickly fell into. I embraced her familiar scent, suddenly feelings tears fill the brim of my eyes.

What if I never get to smell her again?

The tears built up in my eyelids, as I pulled her closer into my body, embracing her warmth and familiarity.

"Are you okay beautiful?" Luna asks, softly rubbing her arms up and down my back. When I didn't respond to her, she quickly pulled away from me.

"Why are you crying baby?" She questions, her eyes piercing into mine with concern.

"Please be safe, please I need you to be safe" I breathe out, suddenly feeling my emotions take over me as I try to steady my breathing.

"Baby i'm going to be okay. I have so many people to help me, trust me i'm going to be okay." She says, wrapping her hands around my waist as she softly rubs circles into my hips.

"Promise you're going to be okay" I say, before peering up at her with my glossy eyes.

"I promise baby" She says, before pulling me into her body for another hug, this time, holding onto eachother two times harder.

And we stayed just like that, her warm arms securely wrapped around me, protecting me from the rest of the world.

"Babe?" I called out, as I walked up the familiar set of stairs of the large house.

"Luna?!" I called out again, putting the code into our bedroom door, as I quickly flung the door open.

"Yes?" Luna calls out, her voice echoing since she was in the closet. I quickly walking to the closet, stepping into it as I saw her familiar body.

"Hi" I say, before wrapping my arms around her torso from behind, snuggling my face into her back.

"Hey baby" She says, causing me to smile as I feel her body turn to face my direction. She wrapped her warm arms around my hips, as I slowly trailed my freshly manicured nails down her chest, before trailing back up to her arms.

"Hi" I say, smiling at her. I quickly get on my toes, before leaning up and capturing her lips in mine for a small kiss, until she deepend the kiss.

She captured my lips in hers again, pressing her lips harder into mine as I stumbled back, my back suddenly hitting the cold wall, causing me to let out a low groan at the feeling.

Goosebumps travelled across my skin as she pressed me even further against the wall, before she quickly grabbed my thighs, picking me up and wrapping my legs around her waist.

Her hands massaged my thighs, as her lips slowly disconnected from mine, before scattering slow and hard kisses down my neck.

She placed a hard kiss on my collarbone, before kissing her way back up my neck. She slowly bit into my neck, before running her warm flat tongue over the now forming mark, causing me to let out a low moan.

"Luna" I whispered, wrapping my hands around her neck, before pulling her closer into my body, causing our cores to press against eachother.

"Yes princess?" She whispered in my ear, before placing a kiss right on my jawline.

"What time is it?" I mumble, letting out a low groan as she kissed me hard again.

"It's..5:20pm" She answers, before sliding her phone back into her pocket, before her hand is yet again placed on my thigh, keeping me positioned on the wall.

"Only 3 more hours." I say, letting out a small sigh as I nuzzle my head into the crook of her neck.

"I know baby, it will all be okay." She says, running her hands up and down my thighs, slowly soothing some of my nerves.

"You promise?" I ask, moving my head up to analyze her face.

"I pinky promise." She says, unhooking her right hand from my thigh to hold up her pinky to my face. I hold up my pinky to hers, before intertwining them together.

She places a small kiss on my forehead, before pulling her pinky away and placing her hand under my thighs again. This time, slowly lowering my legs to the ground.

As my toes hit the ground, I slowly unwrapped my hands from her neck, as she slowly pulled her hands away from my waist, the warmth leaving my body with the growing distance between us.

"I have to go down to the basement, would you like to come?" She says, the air between us suddenly growing awkward.

"No, i'm okay but thank you, i'll just be up here for a little bit." I say, slowly nodding to her as I speak, assuring her that it's no big deal.

"Okay, i'll be back up soon. I love you" She says, opening the door infront of her.

"I love you too" I say, watching as she turns away from me and quickly closes the door behind her.

Which left me alone in the room we once shared, only the thoughts of our previous promise filling up my mind.
