Chapter 2: What a coincidence

Zandik pov:

Ever since I bumped into that girl the other day I couldn't get her out of my head. It was as if she had placed a spell on me making my stomach turn every time I thought of her sweet smile..I let out a sigh as I sat up from my bed looking out the window.

It seemed it was about lunchtime as I heard my stomach growl. I frowned knowing I should get up and get some food. I stood up from my bed and slipped my shoes on as I walked out my room walking past my recent projects. I walk out my dorm and close the door behind me and walk towards the tavern near me to get some food.

Y/n pov:

As I open the tavern door I heard the bell ring above me as I walk into the tavern to start my shift there. I continue to the back room and put on my apron and name tag before walking to the front desk and officially starting my shift. After an hour or two was still standing behind the counter as people sat at the tables eating their lunch. I let out a soft sigh as I lean on the counter and held my chin in my palm.

At that moment I heard the bell ring signaling someone had walked inside the tavern I lift my head up and see a familiar blue haired and red eyed boy walking to the counter. I stared at him for a moment trying to figure out why he was so familiar when I realized he had caught my akedeymia hat for me the other day. I smiled warmly as he approached the counter.

"Hello welcome! Can I help you with anything today?.." I greeted him with a smile painted on my lips. He looked at me with the same blank expression he had on the other day, he stared at me for a moment before answering, "Yes..can I have an order of one Biryani dish please..." He said to me in a quiet blank tone. "Coming right up!" I say with a smile before going to the kitchen to tell the chefs his order. After a couple minutes I walk back to the counter with a bag in hand that contained his warm freshly made biryani.

"Here you go! And your total will be 60 mora please!" I say handing him the bag and waiting for the mora. He stared at me for a moment before looking at the bag and taking it from my hand "Oh uhm..yes of course here..." He says before taking mora from his pocket and handing it to me not even bothering to count it to see if he has the right amount. "And uhm..keep the rest..." He says to me with a blank tone "Oh? Thank you! I'll make sure to spend it well!.." I say with a smile as I take the mora from his hand. He stared at me for a moment once more before he spoke again. "Uhm..may I ask for your name?.." He says looking at me awaiting for my answer.

"Hm? Oh yes my name is y/n" I say with a sweet smile looking at him noticing his ring red eyes staring into mine. "Y/n hm?..Alright thank you..." He says before continuing, "So you work here? I thought you studied at the akedeymia.." He said with the same blank tone. "Oh yes I do! But I work here part time to make some extra mora for myself.." I say with a soft smile. He looked at me once more before a slight smile reached his lips.

"Thank you..I was just curious..but um I'll be on my way..." He says before turning around and walking out the door. "No problem make sure to come back soon!" I say as he walked out the tavern door as he was in the doorway he gave me a quick glance before walking away and closing the tavern door behind him. I stared at the door for a moment remembering his slight smile he gave me before looking down at the mora in my hand.

I stared down at it for a moment before realizing I never got his name. I let out a soft sigh before I heard someone walk up to the counter. I look up and see a new customer ready to order food, I smile sweetly greeting them. As I took their order and walked to the kitchen to tell the chefs the order..I couldn't seem to get that blue haired boy out of my mind...
