Chapter 10: One step closer to her...

Zandik pov:

I walked beside Sohreh up a hill hearing her footsteps behind me and her rays of excitement. I smiled to myself. Yes..Yes this was perfect..I could already tell. After a couple minutes we made it to the top of the hill. "Zandik! This place is beautiful!..How did you find a place like this?!.." She says her tone full of awe and excitement. "Well it's only up a hill..." I said nonchalantly before sitting down on the grass and parting the grass beside me. Sohreh immediately took the invention and I watched as she sat beside me.

"So Zandik..What exactly made you bring me here?..." I hear her murmur beside me her voice close as if she was leaning toward me. I smirked to myself. "I suppose I just..Realized something..." I say as I stare off into the distance seeing the large forest ahead. "Really?! Mind telling me..what exactly you mean?..." I hear her say curiously wanting to know the reason just took her here. "Do you ever wonder who exactly your soulmate is?..And if you've met them yet?..." I say as if it was a fact more than a question. "Yes of course! I'd like to say so. I could practically feel her cheeks warming from where I was sitting letting me know her guard was starting to get lower. Perfect. "I have another question.." I say not glancing over at her still feeling the breeze brush through my hair.

"Go ahead.." Sohreh murmured leaning even closer to me. "Have you felt you've met this person yet?..." I say with a nonchalant smile. "Yes of course! In fact..I could feel the connection between me and him growing.." I listen to her speak knowing she was talking about me. "Then I have one final question Sohreh..." I say quietly. "Go ahead..I'm all ears..." I heard her say as she leaned even closer to me making me smell her perfume she wore. "Would you murder someone to be by their side?..." I say bluntly as I finally look over at her expecting an answer from her I noticed how a bit surprised she was from my sudden blunt question before she shrugged slightly. "Uhm..Yes I suppose I would..." I hear her say.

"Would you kill multiple people to be with them?.." I ask bluntly again. "I suppose..Yes..." Sohreh said her tone confused at my sudden blunt strange questions. "How about completely tearing apart someone who got in your way from said soulmate?.." At this point Sohreh had sat up and was no longer leaning toward me. "I..uhm-" "Have you actually killed for that person before Sohreh?..Hm?.." I stare at her as I spoke seeing her starting to be a bit wary from my questions looking at me as if I was completely strange now and not the adoring gaze she had before. "Zandik why are yo-" "Because I have Sohreh..." I say bluntly cutting her off. "I've killed for her before..."

I seen Sohreh eyes widen slightly from hearing my sincere tone before letting out an awkward laugh thinking I was only joking "Zandik-" She tried to say before I cut her off. "I've killed for my beloved y/n..." I say bluntly as I stare at her seeing Sohrehs eyes completely widen. "..What?..." I hear Sohreh speak out. "That's right..I've killed for her..I've killed those who have stood in the way between me and her..threats that could ruin everything I've worked hard for to get closer to her..And now..you're in my way..." I say darkly staring at Sohreh. "Zandik you're scaring me-" Before Sohreh could finish her last word I suddenly jumped on her and wrapped my hands around her neck earning a gasp from her. "Didn't you hear me?..I say..You're in my way..." I say in a low tone narrowing my eyes as I stared down at her and kept her pinned down on the grass.

"Zandik! W-What agh!" She shouts in pain as I press my hands into her throat. "You're in my way Sohreh. You're the disgusting bug that's separating me and my angel from getting closer..And now..I must squash you..." I say darkly as I press into Sohreh throat more my fingers digging into her neck. Sohreh could only let out strangled gasps in response her eyes wide with fear as she tried to push me off her but my grip stayed firm. I keep her pinned down on the grass looking down at her. "Because of you I could've lost all the work I've been doing to get closer to my angel..my goddess..." I say through gritted teeth my anger escaping as I pressed my hands into Sohrehs neck even more

Sohreh gasped and struggled for air. I stared down at her as she looked up at me tears forming in her eyes and running down the side of her face. I smiled in satisfaction as I watched the life drain from her eyes with each second that passed. And finally just like that..my work was finished. I felt her hands go limp and fall back down to her sides as her eyes dull taking her last breath before she stilled. After a second of staring down at her I got up and stood over her staring down at her lifeless body. "Disgusting.." I say harshly as I stare down at her and yet I smirk in satisfaction finally one obstacle down and one step closer to finally having my angel all to myself.

She was a fool. Truly. To think she was even worthy of my attention. She was nothing more than a bug. A bug I easily squashed with my bare hands. After standing for a bit I chuckle seeing the sunset. "A pity..didn't even manage to see your last sunset..." I say mockingly as I grabbed her by her akedeymia uniform and started to drag her into the nearby forest and finish the last part of my plan. I drug her along the floor stopping and standing quietly I look down at Sohrehs body and see her still dead and still I let go of her leaving her laying limp on the ground. I picked up a nearby heavy rock and raised it up high before throwing it down harshly in the center of her face.

It deformed her intensely with each time I smashed the rock on her leaving her mangled and deformed in the end. Her bones crushed and her flesh torn as if a Rishboland Tiger has feasted upon her. And that was my goal. To make her mutilated and mangled to the point no one would be able to tell what happened. After smashing and tearing the grass around us was covered in her blood I stared down at her mangled body before he smirked in satisfaction. "You should've known better than to get in me and my angels way.. It was deserved after disturbing her peace..." I say coldly before I turned and walked away as if nothing had happened

I walk back to the camp where the other students rested eating and sitting around a campfire. I stayed quiet to not disturb them and let them know I was back without Sohreh and they wouldn't ask questions. I walk over to my tent and lay down inside it staring up a satisfied feeling in my chest. Another obstacle out of my way from her.

"I'll be back soon my angel..."
