When he woke up it was only just getting light outside and for a brief moment he didn't remember that he wasn't alone. But the mere thought of moving made him realise he was actually holding Yuuna now. And for the second time in a week everything that happened the previous day came flooding back into his awareness. Only this time, she was still there. He remembered watching her for quite some time before he wasn't able to keep his eyes open any longer. He had slept surprisingly well considering... Well, considering the fact that he spent the night with a woman for the first time. He felt his face glow hot and he scooted away from her ever so slightly, allowing his body to adjust. But he really didn't want to wake her just yet. She felt pleasantly warm and he hadn't seen her face this calm ever before, as she lay in his arms, her forehead against his chest. If only he could hold this moment and keep it safe forever. He started to feel a little guilty for enjoying this quiet time with her without her being aware and he tried to get out of bed ever so gently. But as he was about to stand up from the side of the bed he felt her stir behind him. He turned around a little and smiled at her as she struggled to keep her eyes open. "It's still early, you can sleep a little longer if you'd like," he said softly.
"Did we sleep through the night?" She mumbled, rubbing her puffy eyes and swiping some of her unruly curls out of her face.
He nodded while laughing softly. "Who's the worse bed head now?" He joked softly, ruffling his own hair into a somewhat acceptable shape.
She rolled onto her back, covering her face with her arms as she let out a yawn. "Thank you for letting me stay, Chifuyu," she mumbled, glancing up at him from under her forearm.
He blushed and stood up quickly. "Don't worry about it, I sort of summoned you here in the first place," he said apologetically. He picked up his sweater from the floor beside the bed and tossed it over his bathroom door, turning on the lights on his way.
"Ugh," she grunted, squinting against the light.
He laughed, watching her sit up and attempt to tame her ridiculously wild hair. "I'm going to take a shower quickly," he said, looking at her swaying a little, not really fully awake yet. He heard her scuttle around as he quickly rinsed himself off and after a little while the smell of coffee drifted into the bathroom. He dried himself off carelessly and jumped back into his jeans. When he stepped back into the room, his hair still dripping, he saw her browse through his closet, softly trailing her fingers across his clothes. He swallowed away his nerves and stepped up to her. "What are you looking at?" He asked carefully, leaning in front of her a little so he could quickly grab a clean shirt.
"I remember some of these," she said smiling. "I can hardly believe you would still have them," she continued, pulling the sleeve of a black and purple sweater out.
He smiled and took the sweater from the hanger. "They were really big on me back then so they still kind of fit me," he said, putting it on.
She laughed and brushed her hair out of her face again. "It's like going back in time," she joked, watching him take a spin for her. His athletic body was still slim like then, but taller and a little more mature. And for a moment she could picture his future form again. Confident, strong and composed in his tailormade suits. It was quite the sight to behold but she felt relieved that it wouldn't come to that future anymore. Not this time around.
He was relieved to see that she could laugh a little again. As he zipped up the hoodie, he noticed something at the far end of the closet caught her eye. Her fingers were gingerly caressing the gold embroidery, almost as if she was a little scared of what would happen if she touched it. He stepped up to her again and pulled his old Toman uniform from the rack for her.
"Mitsuya really is amazing at this," she whispered, following the embroidery with her fingers.
He smiled faintly. "Have you ever seen one up close like this?" He asked as he watched her eyes dart across it.
