Kisaki pushed himself off from the doorpost and stepped inside, closing the door behind him. He leaned over the table and picked up the businesscard.
The dim light from the dining room caused his glasses to shimmer. He looked the part of the up and coming businessman he was. The company he and Kokonoi Hajime were running was already making enough each year to sponsor Mikey's motorcycle racing. His suit was tailored to perfection and his cologne smelled exquisite. You'd hardly believe he hadn't even turned twenty one yet.
He flipped the businesscard between his fingers before looking at her. "So... This is you, I presume?" He asked, holding up the card.
Yuuna's heart was pounding in her chest. The fear that got hold of her was such a strongly conditioned response she couldn't help it. She gawked at him, unable to speak.
"No way," Kisaki laughed crudely. "Is she a time leaper?" He snickered as he looked at Chifuyu and Mikey.
Mitsuya snuffed a laugh and shook his head as he looked at their ridiculously intelligent, but tactless, friend.
Chifuyu got up and walked to the fridge to grab all of them something to drink. This would likely take a while.
"How the hell did you know?" Mikey spat angrily at him.
Kisaki laughed again as he stepped aside to give Yuuna some space. "Only one person has ever looked at me like that," he said as he gestured at Yuuna's appalled face. "I'll never forget that look," he said, extending his hand for her to shake. "Nice to meet you," he said, glancing at the business card in his other hand. "Nakahara-san?" He said, mildly guessing. "I don't think I have to introduce myself," he said confidently.
"I-," her voice gave out. She got up and quickly handed Chifuyu the puppy.
He had just put five beers on the table and quickly caught the little dog from her.
She staggered outside and out of sight, trying to get some air. If only enough to get through this choking sense of dread.
Mikey moved to go after her but Kisaki grabbed his arm. His face seemed a little softer now as he looked at the door opening, apparently realising he had pushed too many buttons at once. "I'll go," he said as he put the business card in his chest pocket and looked at Mikey glaring up at him suspiciously. "You won't lose any more siblings because of me, I promise," he said with a faint smirk.
"Give them a minute, Mikey," Mitsuya said reassuringly. "I can understand why this would overwhelm her," he added softly.
Mikey angrily snatched a beer from the table and let himself fall back into his chair. He hated not being the smartest person in the room but, as soon as Kisaki Tetta entered, everyone else was instantly sent packing. And he knew... If anyone was going to be able to figure this out, it was him.
Chifuyu walked around the table and handed Mikey the puppy. As much as a means of pacifying him as because it was his to begin with.
Kisaki grabbed two beers from the table and walked outside, softly kicking the door closed behind him. He spotted her sitting at the top of the stairs, her face hidden in her hands. He slowly walked up to her, not dampening the sound of his fancy shoes, so she could hear him coming. "Is it alright if I sit with you for a bit?" He asked.
She didn't answer but lowered her hands and scooted over so there was room for him to sit down too. She couldn't bring herself to look at him. Everything inside her was screaming 'danger'. But the dark, vicious aura she had gotten to know from him wasn't there.
He sat down quietly, opening both beer cans and offering her one. He held it firmly, checking if her trembling grip was actually able to take it from him, before letting go.
