A/N

I'm REALLY late to update since I somehow forgot about Wattpad entirely this half month since I was caught up in volleyball, math, homework, babysitting, and other shit 🤠🤠🤠😭😭😭.

But tysm to everyone reading this part, and likes this thing I made!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Extra thanks to that one user who commented on this and asked when the next chapter would come out, otherwise I'd have already forgotten!!

Also-- very late announcement: this is only book one so you might want to hold onto this :)

I sighed tiredly.

These Ninja sure are bothersome.

Well, speaking of The Ninja, they somehow caused me another splitting headache- one similar to the ones I'd get when I was training in The Administration.

Though this one seems to hurt more than those.

Must be their annoying antics getting to me now.

Right now, I was resting on the stone steps of the entrance to this Monastery.

This is so far the only place I've found was actually peaceful, compared the the other, Ninja-infested places I've considered.

Now that I was given the time for myself, I pondered on whether I should have trained with them after all.

I may have revealed too much of my skill set, and they could predict my movements later on.

Honestly though, I probably can't do anything, unless hopefully they're too caught up in their thoughts about me "going down the wrong path" so they forget.

Suddenly, something rung in my ear, before someone spoke.

"Walker, have you found the assigned targets yet?"

"Yes."

"Good, prepare for stage two— wait, am I sounding cliche?"

"Yes."

"Okay. Just get ready. We'll be sending some supplies your way soon."

"Yeah. Okay. Bye."

The voice cut off with a beep.

My boss was really annoying— he implanted a darned calling device into my earlobe that could be pretty easily passed off as an earring.

Well, guess I better brace myself within the next couple of hours.

Pretty sure all they'll send me will be some [ CLASSIFIED INFORMATION ].

Maybe if the Ninja have some devices holding information, I could possibly hack into them.

I should probably be careful, though— my boss contacted me some time ago on one of them being a master of technology.

How he found out?

No idea.

Better not ask, though.

Last time I tried, I was pretty much slapped and told to never ask that again.

Oh well.

Stage two begins now.

Wow— I'm really cliche today.
