It was early in the afternoon when Gemma got the package. One of the guys left it on her desk just before lunch. They would've given it to her themself but she was in making sure the guys had food before she would go on her break.
She was going to take Alison out and about with her today. Hopefully, it lightens both of their moods. The thing in the package left Gemma scared and on edge. She needed the only other person who knew and who would make her feel better.
"No Gem. I don't feel like going out today," Alison's hair was in a very messy bun, she wore an old shirt or Jax's.
Still on "seizure watch" Jax refused to let her go back to her apartment.
"I don't care. I wasn't asking. At least go put shorts on. We are just getting lunch."
Alison gave Gemma a weird look. It's never "just getting lunch". But she could tell this was important to the older woman so she caved and got dressed.
Gemma waited, lighting a cigarette in the house. She didn't want to alarm Alison she just needed well- her best friend. When Gemma realized that's how their relationship was, she laughed to herself.
They were beyond the mother-daughter relationship now. Aside from LouAnn Alison was truly her only best friend. Was that sad?
"Okay I'm ready, let's go," Alison swung her arms, ushering the both of them out of the house

They sat in Gemma's car, Alison was absolutely fucking up the turkey sandwich they got from this cute little shop. They were down on the main street.
But them being out here in the first place was weird. Alison watched as Gemma chain-smoked and was looking in her side mirror.
"Who are we waiting for?" Alison asked, holding a napkin under her chin in case she spit out food.
Gemma didn't say anything and handed the brown paper bag to Alison. At first, Alison was bummed that she had to set down her sandwich but once she saw what was inside she didn't feel like eating anymore.
"Is this-?"
"The mask they wore? Yes."
"Didn't this shop go out a few years ago?"
"Yeah. But guess who replaced it."
Alison looked behind them.
It was a cigar shop. She couldn't tell what it was called. "It's Zobelles shop."
"That's the guy that came to Bobby's welcome home party. Gave Clay a thing of cigars and said something about who they were making deals with. I didn't hear much nor do I remember much but it had Jax and Clay pissed."
"Those guys were totally weird Gem, they were all pro-white and shit. Hated that-"
"That the guys are dealing with different shades? Yeah."
"Wait do you think his guys did that to you?"
It was quiet and Gemma nodded her head.
Then a lady honked at them, asking if they were leaving the spot or not. Both women glared at her and pointed their guns at her.
Alison got a small chuckle out of it, the lady speeding off screaming. Gemma just put hers back in her purse and sighed.
"Jax said that they might've been behind the bombing. I think you should tell Jax and Clay,"
"No, I can't."
"You weren't the only one hurt by them."
Gemma knew she was right. She knew that she should've told Clay after it happened. But she was broken now, no man wants pussy that's stolen and then broken. She didn't even really feel human.

"Where's my mom?" Jax asked, sitting at the bar. Today was a hot day in the shop but he missed it.
"Took Alison out for lunch. Said they'd be back in a few." Juice said he was trying to flirt with one of the crow eaters.
"That's never good," Opi said, joining Jax at the bar.
"Sometimes I really hate when they get together," Jax hung his head, slightly chuckling to himself.
"They are like best friends," Juice said.
"At least she's out of the house."
"Is she getting any better?" Opi asked, he didn't have much time to go in and check on her and he felt bad.
"It's different every day. If we didn't have all this shit going on id stay home with her. The kids have been staying with my mom just because Ali is scared she'll hurt them. But honestly, I think she needs the kids. Any updates on Chibbs?"
"Clay's on the phone with him now. He is awake and the swelling has gone down. They want to keep him a little longer just in case," Bobby said, joining the little group of guys.
That was good, that would be good news to bring home to his girl.

"If you aren't going to do it then I will," Alison said.
Gemma knew it was true but she didn't know if she even wanted him dead. She wanted revenge but the only way she would feel good about it is if she told her old man- which was out of the question.
"No just- get ready to drive when I say so okay?"
Alison sighed, swapping seats with her.
Alison sat and flipped through different stations, her drink was gone as was her sandwich. She was getting bored because she didn't know what was going on.
Then she started to think about the kids, she really missed them. Then she started to think about Wendy, she had no clue what was going on.
"I should take the kids to go see her," she thought to herself as she fixed her hair in the mirror.
Her phone buzzed, Jax was texting her and asking if she was alive. He mainly needed to know if he needed to bail them out.
She told him they were fine and no one was going to jail right now but "there's always time". She really thought she was funny.
To be fair Jax did laugh and so did Alison.
She texted him back about wanting to see the kids, and how she missed them and him. She started to tear up thinking about how fucked her life was getting. But before a tear could fall Gemma got in the car and told her to drive.
So she did, straight to the clubhouse.
