"I've been thinking about Rick's plan. And look there are no guarantees. I'll be the first one to admit that."

Jaime stood next to Dale and her mother, listening to Shane drag on and on before actually getting to his point.

Rick had an idea to get the group out of the campsite, and into the city, maybe to the Atlanta CDC where they'd have a cure. Jaime had no intentions of coming with them, figuring her and Topanga would be headed out any day now after her mother got sick and tired of being around Daryl.

"I've known this man a long time. I trust his instincts. I say the most important thing here is we need to stay together. So those of you that agree, we leave first thing in the morning. Okay?"

Everyone exchanged various nods and agreements, as Topanga sighed loudly, standing up as she dusted off her jeans. "Jaime go pack our stuff up."

"We're going?" She asked, surprised at her mom's actions. "Well, go before I change my damn mind!"

Jaime squealed, running off to their tent as she started throwing their belongings back into their bags. Topanga's belongings were just a few pairs of clothes, an absurd amount of Marlboro One-Hundreds, and a few various nip bottles and a pistol with a few bullets.

Jaime's was quite the opposite, only having 2 pairs of clothes other than what she was wearing, her handgun and a decent amount of bullets, two books, a canteen and a box of granola bars. The only things she didn't pack were the two sleeping bags, the tent and her gun.
She was almost too excited to finally have people to go with, she barely slept if it weren't for the pure exhaustion from hunting with Dale.

"Jaime, c'mon girl."

Jaime mumbled, barely awake as Rick unzipped the tent, blinding her with sunlight as she covered her eyes. "We gotta get going, up and at 'em."

She nodded, rubbing her eyes as she sat up slowly and grabbed her boots & a hairbrush and tie, following him to where everyone else was waiting. She was the last one awake. "Nobody woke me up?" She sighed.

"Everybody listen up, those of you with C.B's, we're gonna be on channel fourty. Let's keep the chatter down, okay? Now you got a problem, don't have a C.B, can't get a signal or anything at all, you're gonna hit your horn one time. That'll stop the caravan. Any questions?"

Jaime ran her brush through her hair, looking around as nobody seemed to disagree, holding her hair elastic in her teeth.

"Come on, let's go. Let's move out."

"Who are we riding with?" Topanga spoke up.
"Y'all didn't bring your own vehicle?"
Jaime shook her head, "We don't gotta go if it's a problem." "Minor inconvenience." Rick shook his head, "You can ride with Lori and I, you and Carl can squeeze in together and they'll be enough room for Topanga."

The next few hours were spent with Carl practically sitting on top of Jaime, reading the book she had in her bag with her, and sharing granola bars with him, quickly running out of water in her canteen as Topanga hogged it to beat the summer heat.

"They're both asleep." Lori spoke, looking in the window of the station wagon. "Nah, wake her up," Topanga coughed, puffing on a cigarette, "She can fix shit like that."

"Topanga, can you smoke else where? You're blowing smoke into Sophia's face." Lori shook her head.
"Let the girl sleep." Daryl spoke quietly, "There's no fixing that hose." "Nonsense," Topanga shook her head, flicking her cigarette on the ground as she squashed it with her shoe, "Jaime! Get up." She yelled, banging on the window of the station wagon as both her and Carl sat up, expecting a walker to be driving.
"Christ." Jaime sighed, opening the door as she stepped out. "What?" "RV needs a new hose, you fix something up."
