Jaime stood leaned up against the side of the camper, fiddling with her fingers as she listened to Daryl and Topanga scream at each other. "Ignore her." Dale murmured.
"It's hard to do that." Jaime sighed, sitting down against the trailer, a few tears ran down her cheek. Dale sighed, practically ripping open the door to the camper as he began yelling, "Enough! Cant you see your stressing her out? Shes sobbing on the side of the highway for gods sake!"Topanga stared at Dale long and hard, before losing her mind on him, "It's not my fucking fault she can't-!"
Dale slammed the door shut again, and slammed his fist into the door. Jaime wanted to laugh, but instead she just started crying. She could hear Daryl and Topanga screaming at each other, along with Shane, Rick and Lori fueling their arguement. "Topanga, you've done a shit job fucking raising her!" "You say that like you were there! You aren't her dad, you just met the damn kid a week ago, Daryl!"
"Topanga, she's not a kid. She's twenty, you said it yourself." "God, Lori!" Topanga screamed, "Shut the fuck up! For gods sake do you ever stop?" "Topanga, you watch your mouth!" Rick jabbed his finger in her direction, causing all hell to break loose as she started hitting Rick over the head, and eventually hitting Daryl and Lori as they tried to pry her off of Rick.
"Come on, Jaime." Dale whispered, pulling Jaime off the ground as she took a deep breath. "I'm just so tired of this." "I know, I know." Dale shook his head, nearly getting knocked to the ground as the camper door swung open nearly right into him. Topanga screamed, shoving Daryl away from her as she turned towards Jaime and practically slammed her into the pavement, screaming while beating her bloody.
"Topanga, get off of her!"
Jaime screamed in her mom's face, kicking her in the chest just hard enough to get Topanga off of her and allow herself time to sit up and move away.
Eventually she was pistol whipped hard enough to collapse, and pass out. Jaime sat on the concrete, numb and she touched her face with her hand. Both Rick and Daryl had bruises developing on their bodies, and were bleeding from the beating they took, and Lori had scratches all over her.
"Jaime, honey." Lori sat down on the concrete next to Jaime, running her fingers through her hair as she pulled the kid into a hug. "I'm okay." She whispered, "I'm alright."
"Come on, let's get you inside. " Rick placed his hand on top of hers, "We'll get you cleaned up and comfortable, okay?" She nodded, standing up carefully. Dale and Daryl had dragged Topanga back inside the camper and tossed her on the bathroom floor unwilling to deal with her, and were standing by the door watching. "Okay, easy now." Rick wrapped his arm around Jaime, helping her stand as he and Lori led her into the camper sitting her down on the couch.
They took a few hours to figure out their next route, and to pack up and collect items. Lori sat next to Jaime for awhile, keeping her settled and hydrated. Carl eventually joined them as well, sitting next to Jaime and trying to cheer her up. He wasn't fully aware of the entire ordeal, as Shane, Glenn and Carol took him away from the arguement for his own sake and to look for any sign of Sophia.
Before Lori could come back to bring Carl to the car, Carl had fallen asleep right next to Jaime, the both of them wrapped up in a blanket together.
