I woke up in my mothers arms and she was holding Zuko in the other. Zuko got scared last night because he had a nightmare and I decided to tag along. I always tend to wake up earlier then my mother and brother so I went to the garden to meditate as usual.
I went for some peace and quiet but it was interrupted by my younger sister azula and her friends Ty Lee and Mai.
I've always liked Mai because I feel like we understand each other in the sense that we're not to like the others and keep to our selves. She doesn't know this but I can tell she has a little crush on my twin; and no we look nothing alike. Ty Lee is a very energetic girl but I always liked that about her. She has an inviting aura. I always envied that about her she seems so care free. Of course I draw people in to but not for the same reasons as Ty Lee.
My sister then continues to annoy me in attempt to get me to "play" with her and her friends. My purpose for our nation was to become a proper princess. Not to party but that's because I was "blessed" with incredible beauty so I've became a political tool for Ozai.
My mother has always told me to hide my skills. She, zuko and my uncle are the only people I can trust. I was taught at a young age the realities of humanity.
But back to Azula annoying me: Lucky for me I had my breakfast to attend to. I don't want to fight her, that'll just result in me giving away my combat skills.
After breakfast I tended to my studies and training and just as I was about to have some downtime I was notified to prepare for dinner by one of my servants. My maids only dressed me and combed my hair, I wanted to take a bath before going to sleep today.

A/N -(This was the only thing I can find that is somewhat age appropriate for a ten year old)
I was wearing a casual outfit with red flats and gold jewelry. Ozai along with my mother and brother were sitting on one side of the table and I was sitting with my uncle and azula on the other. And of course my grandfather was sitting in the middle.
My uncle had just recently lost his son. My cousin, Lu Ten. I could sense the tension in the air so I tended to my business and ate my meal. But towards the end of the meal I saw Ozai looking at my mother and to say the least it seemed off putting...I really should've listened to what they were talking about.
Everyone is dismissed and azula pulls me and zuko along with her. I can only imagine what she's scheming. We walk into a conversation between Ozai and my grandfather. My father was questioning my grandfathers choice of his successor. "How can Ozai do that to uncle." Zuko was in shock. With no doubt azula snapped back at him "stupid brother uncle is weak compared to father." In midst of me opening my lips my grandfather bursted into flames. Well that was...heated.
I decided I needed the comfort of my mother and so did zuko so we went into her chambers. We didn't say anything we knew we just needed each-other. We eventually fell asleep.
I woke up to only my twin next to me I look around the room and I saw my mom slip out of the room. "She must've been thirsty." I waited in my pjs for my mom to return. When she came back I noticed a panicked face. She was in such a rush to leave. I felt my heart sank. I wanted to cry. My mom was muttering words. And as she escaped from the window the only thing she managed to say to me was. "I love you y/n, take care of your brother, and promise me that someday you'll find happiness in it's many forms and smile" At the end of her words she was only getting quieter and quieter the lower she got and I couldn't hear the rest, she then stepped off the rope and ran away into the darkness. I felt something lost within me. For the first time ever, I didn't know what to do. I became so overwhelmed in emotion that I felt an aura of flames surround me in sadness. The guards had came to my mother's room during that time. The unfortunate part was everyone saw the color of my flames...they were white. .

Trust me I promise there is going to be more dialogue once the main/original story begins which I believe may be happening in the third or maybeeeee second/next chapter. Ik this was kinda short but this is literally just the origin so you have some background for y/n's character and also helps you grasp a better understanding of y/n's character.
