On the deck, Zuko is practicing fire bending with Lieutenant Lee when the boat turns, and we are thrown to one side on our backs.
Zuko: [he glares at the tower.] Someone's changing our course.
Zuko runs to the top of the ship where someone is in charge of steering the ship.
Zuko: [Storming in, yelling.] What is the meaning of this mutiny? No one told you to change course! [Shows Uncle and I, including the rest of the crew playing Pai Sho behind them.]
Y/n: Actually, someone did.
Uncle: I assure you, it is a matter of utmost importance, Prince Zuko
Zuko: [Hopefully.] Is it something to do with the Avatar?
Y/n: Even more urgent. It seems, I- [Rubs forehead in stress.] -I have lost my lotus tile. [Moves a piece of his across the Pai Sho board.]
Zuko: [In disbelief.] You've changed our course for a stupid lotus tile?
Uncle: See, you, like most people, underestimate its value. Just give me ten minutes to check the merchants at this port of call. [Excitedly.] Hopefully, they will have the lotus tile in stock and I can get on with my life. [Zuko breathes fire up at the ceiling in anger and Uncle smiles.] I'm lucky to have such an understanding nephew.
The room fills with smoke from Zuko's outburst. We make it to the marketplace.
Y/n: I've checked all the shops on this pier. There is not a lotus tile in the entire marketplace, sorry uncle.
Zuko: "Sorry?!?!?!" It's good to know this trip was a complete waste of time for everyone!
Uncle: Quite the contrary. I always say the only thing better than finding something you are looking for [Crew members begin to walk past carrying uncle's purchases.] is finding something you weren't looking for at a great bargain! [A crew member walks past the two playing a tsunami horn.]
Zuko: You bought a tsungi horn?
Uncle: For music night on the ship, to pair with your sister's lovely singing and playing of the koto. Now, if we only had some woodwinds. [Pointing to the ship.] Oh, this place looks promising! [Uncle spots a monkey statue.] Oh, that is handsome! Wouldn't it look magnificent in the galley?
I hear one of the pirates close by.
Pirate: We lost the Water Tribe girl and the little bald monk she was traveling with.
Zuko: [Turning.] This monk, did he have an arrow on his head? [Uncle turns around, making a face similar to the monkey's.]
Looks like my brother heard too... So my brother manages to gaslight them into making them think we'd like to help with their search and use one of our boats to sail down the river.
Pirate Captain: Shouldn't we stop to search the woods?
Zuko: We don't need to stop. They stole a water-bending scroll, right?
Pirate Captain: Mm-hm
Zuko: Then they'll be on water.
We end up finding Katara and we hide whilst we examine the situation.
Katara: [Whispering.] Shhh, Momo! Go back to sleep. Shh! [standing by the river, attempting but failing to perfect the water whip, frustrated.] Ugh, ugh, ugh! Shoot! Come on water, work with me here! Okay, what if I just, ow! Stupid scroll! Okay Katara, shift your weight through the stances. [She drops the water again and hears the ship pulling up onto the river bank. She peeks through the bushes to see what the noise is and gasps upon seeing the pirates. She turns to run, but is grabbed by a pirate.] No! Let go of me! [She bends water up into the pirate's face, and he releases her, she runs but is grabbed again on the wrists by Zuko.]
