Once upon a time she ran through these halls, whimsically, carelessly and without a trial of tribulation in the world. She would jump hastily, step from step, counting every movement as she went knowing that in the universe she had her love ones:her mother, her father, to who in her juvenile mind were immortal. They would never leave, the thought of that never crossed her mind, the galaxy was an adequate kingdom, where death simple did not register.

This was her home, not the vast rooms and walls but rather the sanctuary of where she grew, developed and changed. She mourned here, fought here, loved here and aspired to stay and settle down here, one day, when the time was right. The memories and reminiscence of warmth and tenderness went beyond the aged paintings and staircases, the love and inclination was something imprinted through the walls, something that no body could take away, no matter how hard they tried.

Here, she felt her mother's presence and affection, even in solitude and isolation, Odessa was never truly alone. She was born in these very walls, crowned in them, taught in them and ultimately married outside of them, and for every moment Odessa felt her loved one's presence. She liked to think it was her father as well, that he looked after and welcomed her mother into the lightness of death with open arms. Yes of course, technically they would be separated by those who followed on in the force, but it was nice to think it wasn't a complete empty abisce of dusk after everything, that there was finality and reunion in death.

She had spent so long fearing and running from the shadows of Eris, to truly even realise that in order to even appreciate the light, you must recognise and know the darkness. There was always something to that feeling, of not seeing the colour of things as they appeared, the unknown, the quiet, the cold, that made it so unspoken and something you can't put words too. Something terrifying yet beautiful. It wasn't the absence of light that startled her, but the things lurking in the truancy of it.

She didn't fear the darkness, but what could stare back at her, if she stayed in it too long.

"What's on your mind?" Anakin could always sense it, the way her eyes held emptiness whilst her mind was twisted and tied with abundance of thoughts and feelings

Odessa looked away from the emptiness of the night, allowing her eye to meet Anakin's deep blue ones which were full of concern. The reflection of the trailing lights throughout the balcony shined through his pupils, the tarnished yellow shade of the bulbs scattering all around them "Nothing."

"It's not nothing." He sighed, fixing her position on his lap as he pushed her arse under the water closer towards his chest, so her hands could rap around his shoulders "If it's the dark we can go inside, watch something or relax-"
