"How is my planet general?"
Tenebrosity and obscurity glued inseparably with every bien and object, it stuck to the atmosphere like tar, balmy and blistering. No matter how light the room was, Odessa Skywalker felt consumed by darkness, tightened into the confined corner that surrounded her with calamity and boding. The sun was rising, her words fuelling fake intentions that she was anything other than distracted. Her attention rather remained on the heaps of tranquil orange reflecting seamlessly from the window and onto the side of her face. It exposed every detail of her features, a raw image of incandescent and lure.
But no glow or radiance could console the unease and emptiness of her expression. Everything around her; every sound, object and action merged into shadowed nothingness like smoke and sand, insignificant and frivolous.
"Your majesty-"
Nothing else mattered other than the vast horizon, her eyes were drawn to it, not that she was necessarily sure what 'it' was- but it felt needed- urgent, like it was screaming out for her attention. Her body stilled with silence for a few simple moments, Odessa pulling a deep breath before the walls began to close in. Oxygen was suddenly scarce and the heat rushed all over her body, suffocating every inch of her body.
She needed to leave.
Her breath hitched "Your majesty-"
"I need to go." Odessa erratically announced, standing up from her chair as she was met with many concerned eyes of the small group of people in the meeting "I'm sorry."
She ignored the hushed whispered from behind her as she rushed hectically through the door and down the corridor towards her apartment. Every step of the way her eyes transitioned from the front of her, to her side, the side where the large spreading windows still remained. The resplendent golden glaze followed her as she went, the peaks of light moving down her face to her body, before finally onto the carpet of the interior.
Emotions heightened even further as her cold palm wrapped shakily across the sensor, the door of her apartment sliding open behind sliding shut behind her. Odessa had always been told that when you love someone, you become firmly and dynamically interlinked with one another. You mourn together, suffer together, love together and fight together, both mentally and physically. She didn't necessarily believe you could be 'interlinked' with someone until she met Anakin. With him, she felt everything: when his mother had died, when his arm was cut off, when they were married, and he had felt the same thing with her.
