Steven slowly opened his eyes, the morning sunlight filtering through the blinds in his bedroom. He rubbed his eyes and yawned, stretching his arms and legs out as he sat up in bed. "Mmm," he groaned, feeling the satisfying pull of his muscles as he stretched. "That's a good stretch. Luckily I took my shower last night."

He swung his legs over the edge of the bed and stood up, taking a moment to admire his toned physique in the full-length mirror on the wall. "Hmm, it's still so weird that I got fit over the past couple of years, but no surprise, I had to get right," he mused to himself. He flexed his arms, admiring the definition in his muscles before heading towards the bathroom.

As he walked into the bathroom, he turned on the sink and began to wash his face, enjoying the cool water on his skin. Suddenly, the door burst open with a loud bang, startling Steven. "Huh?" he exclaimed, turning to see his friend Amethyst rushing into the room.

"Steve- huh?" she stopped short, taking in Steven's new appearance. "Amethyst!" he exclaimed happily, opening his arms wide. He ran over to her and enveloped her in a tight hug, his strong arms lifting her off the ground for a moment. "Whoa," she gasped, feeling his muscular chest against her face. "Dang, Steve-man, you're ripped!"

"Sorry," Steven apologized as he set Amethyst back down. "Geez, hug me any harder and you'll be the first guy who successfully broke my back," she joked.

"Why would I want to break your back?" Steven asked, a concerned look on his face.

"Uh, because you're legal now?" she teased, raising an eyebrow suggestively.

Steven looked at her in confusion. "Experienced? In what?" he asked innocently.

Amethyst facepalmed, realizing that Steven was still a virgin. "Oh god, he's still a virgin," she thought to herself, sighing in frustration. "What's wrong, Amethyst?" Steven asked, sensing her unease.

"Nothing, look, I heard you were going to be getting your own place, Congrats, dude," she praised him, changing the subject rather quickly.

"Thanks, Aunt Christine is taking me there," Steven replied, a sense of anticipation and excitement building within him as he thought about the new chapter of his life that was about to begin.

Steven comes out of the room with his black shirt featuring a star emblem, blue jeans, and sandals. He announces that it's time to get going and walks downstairs, only to be surprised by the presence of Garnet, Amethyst, Cat Steven, and Pearl. Cat Steven runs up to Steven as Pearl stands facing away from him, her eyes filled with tears.

Steven is confused by Pearl's emotional reaction but chuckles and reassures her that she can visit him whenever she gets lonely. Eventually, Pearl hugs him tightly, unable to hold back her tears. The other Gems encourage Steven to leave, reminding him not to get into trouble with the ladies.

Amethyst questions him about his relationship with Connie, but Garnet reassures him that love comes and goes. Steven acknowledges this and expresses his uncertainty about finding someone new. Amethyst and Garnet offer him words of encouragement, assuring him that he will find someone who will love and support him unconditionally.

Outside, Steven is greeted by his father Greg, who is delighted to see his son. They share a heartfelt hug, and Greg praises Steven for his growth and accomplishments. Steven acknowledges his father's past mistakes but appreciates the love and support he has received from him and his Guardians.

As they reflect on their relationship, Steven expresses gratitude for having three mother-like figures in Garnet, Pearl, and Amethyst. Greg is surprised by the mention of Amethyst as a mother figure but acknowledges the strong bond between Steven and his Guardians.

"Amethyst is a mother figure?" he asked, only to be met with a sharp "SHUT UP GREG!" from her.

"Yeah yeah," Steven said with a smile on his face, unfazed by the exchange. "Anyway, you know you can visit me whenever you want, Cat Steven," he added, as he rubbed the cat affectionately under its chin.

"Meow," Cat Steven purred in response, clearly enjoying the attention.

"So... Are you ready to go?" Greg asked, breaking the moment.

"Yeah," Steven replied confidently. "I never unpacked any of my clothes so it's all still in my trunk."

"Alright, well see you when you get there, son. Have a safe trip," Greg said, placing a comforting hand on Steven's shoulder.

"Thanks, Dad. It was nice seeing you," Steven said, grateful for the support.

"Same to you, son," Greg replied warmly.

As Steven made his way to his car, Cat Steven leaped onto Greg's beard, causing a bit of a commotion. "Ouch! Easy! It's not a toy, you know!" Steven chuckled, gently reprimanding the cat.

Looking back at his Guardians, Steven saw them waving goodbye. "Goodbye, everyone!" he called out, feeling a mix of excitement and nostalgia.

"Bye, Dude!" Amethyst shouted, waving enthusiastically. Garnet gave him a thumbs up, showing her support. Pearl, on the other hand, couldn't hold back her tears, a classic response from her.

"Heh, classic Pearl," Steven remarked with a relaxed smile, knowing her well.

"Yeah..." Steven said with a relaxed smile as he walked towards the car where Christine was waiting for him.

"Are you ready to go?" Christine asked as Steven approached.

He looked back one more time, seeing his family waving at him, which made him tear up slightly. "Yeah, I'm ready," Steven answered as he got into the car.

"Very well. Go ahead and get some rest, it'll be some time until we're there," Christine said as she started the car.

"Right," Steven said, settling into his seat for the journey ahead.

In this brief exchange, we can see the mix of emotions that Steven is feeling as he prepares to leave his family behind and embark on a new adventure with new life. The relaxed smile and the slight tears in his eyes show that he is both excited and sad about leaving, but ultimately ready to go.

This moment captures the bittersweet nature of leaving home and starting a new chapter in life. It is a universal experience that many can relate to, as we all must leave the comfort of the familiar and venture into the unknown at some point in our lives.

As Steven and Christine drive off into the distance, we know that he is ready for whatever lies ahead, buoyed by the support of his family and the love of those around him.
