We start with a vehicle's driving with solders and Charles and Erik in a bar taking about their dreams.

Erik: God you're suicidal, or sentimental, maybe. Though either'll kill you.

Charles: Would we be here helping the survivors if we cared about staying alive? We care about others. As do most, I believe. And if indeed mutants exist..

Erik: They don't.

Charles: If they exist, why wouldn't they use their abilities to make the world better for all people?

Erik: People don't want to be better. They're already the best everything. Best tribe, best faith, they even fight over who's the best victim. These are tense times. Be mindful not to sound like you are a mutant.

Charles: What if I were?

Erik: Run and hide before someone starts dreaming of camps.

Charles mentally: I'm a mutant. Telepathy. Mind reader. Likely can control them, too. Bend their will.

Erik: Metal. It bends to my will.

Charles: Have you met others. I've met several. Many alone. Scared. And they will be feared.

Erik: Hated.

Charles: Not if we guide them, help them cherish their gifts. Help the world see all we share by being different.

Erik: Alas, my new friend, in my experience minds are far harder to bend than metal.

Rouge in the distance: Erik?!

Erik then stands up from his stool looks around.

Rouge: Erik!!

Erik: Rouge. Charles, how shockingly far you've fallen, yet also so predictably.

Erik now in his present day appearance looks outside of the windows watching the flooding and lightning strike down.

Professor: Welcome to your mind, Magnus.

Magneto: This is a violation.

Professor: You declared war against mankind. Turned my X-Men against each other. Allowed your torment to flood the world. And Logan...

Magneto: He meant to murder me.

Professor: Too many have died, Magnus. But we both have the power to end it. Restore the damage done to Earth.

Magneto: Why must you always defend our genetic inferiors? Do you yearn for Bastions bastard cyborgs to resume their pogrom against our species?

Professor: And what happened to mutants in a blacked-out world?

Magneto: Evolution thrives in darkness.

Professor: Restore Earths power, or I will hijack your mind and force you to do so.

Magneto: Such psychic penetration risks leaving both our minds shattered.

Professor: Please, then, heed reason. Please.

Magneto: Turn this nostalgic parlor trick back to my childhood and heed what happened when my village used reason while others used tanks.

Professor: Then forgive me, Magnus.

The Professor then tackles onto the ground of sand and water while the professors eyes glow white. Meanwhile the X-Men at Asteroid M watch as the Professor crawls toward Magneto with a force around them pushing them back. The professor grabs onto Magnetos cape and looks at him face to face while they float up.
