Two individuals have been standing outside an office for about 30 minutes; it is a lawyer's office. Neither of them knows when they will be called in.
"Hyung, how much longer do we have to stand here? My legs are already starting to hurt, and I need to get back to work. If we're late, the boss will get angry."
"Just wait a bit longer; they're currently on number 14, and we're next at 15. They should call us in soon."
Kim Namjoon and Jeon Jungkook are standing in front of a reputable law firm, waiting to hire a lawyer as they have a case that will be appealed in court within two days. They need a lawyer who can represent them.
Then, someone from inside signals them, and they both go inside. They follow the person and eventually stop in front of an office with 'koi misoo' engraved in black on a golden nameplate.
Despite the intense heat and the fan overhead, the crowd inside is substantial. They enter with a small file in hand, where a woman sits dressed as a lawyer, writing something in a notebook, seemingly oblivious to their entrance. Her face is completely calm, and her hair is neatly parted and tied into a low bun, with two people standing beside her.
"Hello, miss?" Namjoon greets her first. The woman looks up and gestures for them to sit opposite her. As they take their seats, two individuals in white attire, possibly her guards, leave the office, leaving the three of them at the table.
"Yes, please continue. What seems to be the problem?" koi misoo stops writing, places the pen on the paper, clenches her fist, and rests her hand on the table, ready to listen attentively. Jungkook is quite nervous, having never been in such a place before, but his elder brother had encouraged him the night before and even that morning. Namjoon could speak, but since the issue concerns Jungkook, it is right for him to do so.
"Look, there's nothing to fear here. Just remember one thing: don't hide anything from me or lie, as I need to fight this case and must know every detail," she says with utmost politeness.
"Actually, miss, she's my partner, but we're not married. We have a five-year-old child together. However, a few days ago, I discovered she's cheating on me with another man, whom she plans to engage with soon. She told me she cheated on me seven years ago, and even this girl isn't mine. She has left me now. I have no issue with her leaving, but I've raised this girl with hard work for five years."
As Jungkook describes the situation, koi misoo takes notes, her small square glasses perched on the bridge of her nose.
