Chapter 19 - Shut Up

~Katies Pov~

The tour ended a few weeks ago, Niall and I sorted everything out and were back in Texas. 

“NIALL” I yell from the kitchen, he comes running out of his room 

“Whatever it is, I didn't do shit,” he says leaning on the counter in front of me

 “Well, smartass I need you to drive me to get Ashton from the airport,” I say eating a grape 

“Sure, when do we have to leave?” he asks, grabbing a handful of grapes “Now, if possible. We have to go through security and meet him at the gate, well if he even wants to see me... “ I trail off

*Flashback* 

“Katie I can't keep fighting you about this it's stupid” Ashton yells from across our room, we've been at this for an hour and I know everyone is tired of hearing it 

“why do you even want to move out, it's one thing if we move down the street but across town, our whole life is over here Ashton,” I yell back 

“katie, I've explained this, I want to marry you and start a family with you and I can't do that in the middle of a city where there is no room for kids and dogs to run around” He yells losing his voice,

 “Ashton I want that too and you know it,” I say calming down 

“But we have jobs here and our family is here, Im 19, we can get married and have kids Ashton but you know we can't right now.” I say and he looks at me like he's about to cry. 

He doesn't say anything, he just walks out, grabs his phone and his keys, and leaves the apartment. 

He walked out on a fight. 

I don't even hold it in, the tears start running down my face, in standing with my back facing the door when I hear footsteps come up from behind me, I turn around fast and see that it's just Luke, he opens his mouth and speaks but I put my finger up stopping him. 

We stand there for a few minutes before coming to my senses and racing out the front door but by the time we get down to the street, he's already driving off. 

*end of flashback* 

 

“Katie it's been a week he's got to be over it by now and if not he will get over it. He loves you, hell I got so pissed at you when we dated but I still wanted to see you”

~Ashton's pov~ 

Katie is probably upset with me because I walked out after a fight, we agreed never to do that, ever, and she is probably pissed because of the fight. 

I thought about it and she's right, as always,  she's only 19, and we can start a family later in life. She should live her life now and not when we are 40.

Once I got off the plane she was sitting in one of the terminal chairs looking at her phone, I decided to come up behind her, she was watching Grease on her phone with earbuds in. 

“I once took my girlfriend to see a live-action version of that, yeah she loved it,” I say taking out an earbud, she looks up at me smiling 

“I know you need to live your life, we can have that family anytime, “ I said smiling down at her, she stood up in front of me and gave me a quick kiss before hugging me
