"On your knees now"
Nedvar spoke with a harsh tone, a tone he never uses it with Hermione.
Hermione stood there shocked, not believing any word he just spoke. She stood there contemplating her thoughts and his order.

"She screams danger...and as if yours and Nedvar's reception pictures weren't all over the media and social apps!" Aurora, Hermione's friend, teased through FaceTime.
"Vee, please be careful around that new cousin," Vittoria warned, making Hermione shake her head lightly. "She's been living here for almost 20 years. Nedvar says she's always the one to stir up chaos at home," Hermione explained, attempting to ease her friends' concerns.
"And besides, they're cousins! It's not a big deal, and honestly, I don't care what she thinks about Nedvar unless he tells me himself if it's something you both are worried about," she added, trying to assert her perspective.
"Still, Susan seems to be everyone's favorite, and maybe being pampered by Aldo and Nedvar has only made her closer to Nedvar," Hermione spoke her thoughts aloud. Vittoria sighed, shaking her head.
"Then why not get close to Aldo? He's funnier and more outgoing than cold, grumpy Nedvar!" Aurora responded in a duh tone. Hermione tried to interject, "Aldo is married—"
"So is Nedvar!" Vittoria shot back, her tone sharp. "And he has a child with you, Hermione. Shouldn't that be enough? Or does someone need to scream it in her deaf ears?"
Hermione sighed, acknowledging that her friends had a point, and her instincts reluctantly agreed.
"She's a third wheel who could try to wedge herself between you and Nedvar," Aurora warned. "So stay vigilant around her."
"We're not fully sure she's a problem yet," Vittoria added, "but from what you told us about that incident, she does sound suspicious."
"Sienna mentioned she's always been like this—"
"Oh, living with the Wyatts has messed with your sense of thinking normal, girl!" Aurora cut in dramatically. "No cousin in their right mind would say you 'stole' her place as Nedvar's wife right after meeting you."
Vittoria huffed, the more she thought about the things Hermione had described, the more her suspicions grew. The women ended up talking for over two hours, with Aurora and Vittoria laying out all the red flags about Susan.
Hermione sighed as she ended the call. Standing on the balcony, leaning against the railing, she mulled over her friends' warnings. She had another hour to check on Ethan, who was taking an afternoon nap after playing with his uncles. She also remembered she needed to talk to Nedvar about something important. As she left her room, she spotted Susan climbing the stairs with a small tray and a mug.
