"Everything alright, Vee?" Vittoria asked over the call, her voice low. A muscular arm tightened around her waist, and warm lips traced a slow, tantalizing path from her shoulder blade to the crook of her neck.
She sighed at the sensation, eyes fluttering shut as his mouth pressed against her skin. His lips lingered at the sensitive spot where her neck and shoulder met, making her shiver. Hermione's voice on the other end of the line made her bite her lip, struggling to suppress a reaction.
Behind her, he chuckled softly, his smirk evident as he whispered, "I see you're enjoying this, Mio perla." (My pearl) His hand remained firmly around her waist, and she was aware of every inch of him pressed close.
Then, Hermione's voice sharpened. "Vee, I found something about Susan."
The words cut through the haze, snapping Vittoria back to the moment. As Hermione continued talking, she tried to focus, although his hand still lingered, keeping her grounded in the heated spell between them. When the line went dead, she sighed, still caught in the lingering warmth of his touch.
"Hmmm?" he murmured in her ear, his low voice igniting a fresh spark. She shifted unconsciously, pressing herself against him, feeling the tension rise again. He chuckled, his hand tracing down her side as he whispered, "All you have to do is ask."
But with a sudden jolt, Vittoria pushed him back onto the bed, catching him off guard. She stood over him in nothing but his oversized shirt. "You need to go. Now." She emphasized the last word, noting his casual sprawl across the bed, his hands behind his head, every inch of him unapologetically confident.
He raised an eyebrow, his tone playful. "We could always take a quick shower. Save water." His eyes gleamed with suggestion, but she held her ground, though her resolve wavered. She quickly picked up her clothes from the floor, doing her best to ignore his knowing smirk.
