Jay POV
I immediately grab Niki by the waist to make sure he didn't fall down the stairs,my hands grip onto his waist firmly not wanting to let him go, it felt like I was graving for something like this to happen.
"are..are you alright" I ask, my eyes glued on his terrified face all flustered by his sudden squeal
"I..it's alright I'm fine" Niki blurt out with a nervous chuckle following next to it
"how are you dealing with the controversy anyways" Niki ask quickly regaining his confidence
"well it's not much of a big deal for my father, just made it look like someone edited it" I reply looking at a confused Niki
"oh okay and your friends?" Niki asked
"Jake seems to be upset for some reason" I reply thinking about the incident with my friends
"I would be too if I were him" Niki says glaring at me
"the hell are you glaring at me for" I scoff in disbelief
"cause he's got his own reason to be upset just give him some time" Niki says still giving me a glare
"why are you looking at me like I killed someone" I half yelled but he started laughing
"now what's so funny" I glare at him
"you look like a kid" Niki says in a playful tone
"is that a compliment or an insult" I raise my brow like I was ready to attack him any moment
"anything you want to take it for" he replies walking further around the arcade
"let's play something it's so boring" I suggest looking for a fun game
"can you dance?" Niki raise his brows with a hint of excitement in his eyes
"obviously" I shrug raising my brow
"alright then" Niki skipped further to an area set up for dancing, like those game stage made for 1vs1 dance battle with a big screen infront of us.
"loser buys dinner for the winner got it" Niki says inserting a 10k won note inside the machine and hands me a controller to monitor my moves I assume by what it looked like.
"fine pixie" I reply fixing my posture
Niki does some what I think was warm ups before our dance battle, he would stretch his arms and twist his waist, I am not getting a hold of what he is even doing for my sake.
"stop with all those petty warm ups I am sure you made that up" I reply making him flinch at me with a death glare
"watch your words newbie" he glares at me
"the hell are you calling me a newbie" I ask him annoyed
"I am sure you are new to how this game works so I'll give you a short summary" Niki says deeply devoted to the game
"yeah sure go ahead" I sigh waiting for him to give me details about the game
"okay so that controller in your hand, that thing is suppose to monitor your every move, we are to follow steps from the big screen infront of us, also the game gives us 3 lifes incase you make mistakes but once your life goes down to zero you instantly lose the dance battle got it?" Niki says looking at me with a proud smile
"yeah I got it" I reply uninterested for some time
"your code is blue and I am green don't forget" Niki says excitedly
*time pass to 20 minutes*
"how are you doing this? I am barely catching up to you" I pant heavily looking up at the screen to match up with his pace, knowing that I had only one life left
"didn't I tell you that you are a newbie" Niki says his eyes glued on the big screen infront of us not sparing a glance at me
"don't be so full of yourself just because you can dance better than me" I reply back in an annoyed tone
"It's not a lie though" Niki says with a sheepish smile making me feel soft and bubbly, was I in thr right set of mind to even think like that
My eyes twitch in frustration turning my head to face him, "you bustard I'll make you pay for this-" as I raise my hand to hit him, the game screen infront of us starts playing a default music.
"congratulations player code green wins the game ^-^ !!"
"I am sure you will be paying for the dinner, dear" Niki chuckles stepping down from the mini stage
"you distracted me, that's not fair" I scrowl in annoyance glaring at him
"I didn't cheat, the game is controlled according to it's regulations" Niki huffed in annoyance
"but anyways you lost so you will be buying me dinner" Niki smirks leaning against the wall watching me
"whatever pixie" Jay mumbles walking out of the arcade
"wait for me" Niki half yells running to catch up with me but I was far gone
"run" I reply to him
"I am trying" Niki says to me
"I want to try some Japanese cuisine" Nik says leading me further to my car
"is that your car or mine" I asked annoyed
"nobody cares" he replies sarcastically
waiting for me to open the car
"are you even a university student" I ask opening the door for him, why am I even doing this for him? I don't know about that myself.
"obviously I am a university student" Niki answers raising his brows with a threating look
"chill, can't even ask you a question without being attacked" I roll my eyes getting inside my car
"where do you want to go for your dinner" I ask him faking my voice
"street food" Niki exclaims excitedly
"street food? are you seriously that cheap" I asked
Niki ignores me looking out the window, "are you ignoring me intentionally" I asked him with a glare in annoyance
"I don't enjoy listening to trash" he replies sarcastically
"so sweet of you" I reply with a smile

Classes started a few weeks ago and I swear History is the most boring class I am attending so far, honestly I don't understand anything in Language class, Political Science gives me a headache.
