I couldn't believe that he really agreed to come with me to the carnival, I even ditched my friends from going to the arcade with them just so that I could visit the carnival with him, I did not tell anyone about it apart from Heeseung. We were looking around the mini stands to eat something since he said he was hungry.

"what should we get?" Niki asked unable to choose still staring at the menu

"how about corndogs and dumplings?" I asked him not sure if he will like it

"that's okay....also i want that tteokkochi it looks delicious" Niki says pointing at the tteokkochi placed on plates

"sure...... excuse me can we have 2 corndogs, a packet of dumplings and 3 tteokkochi?" I asked taking out my wallet

"that will be 17,000 won" the shopkeeper says handing me a plastic bag

"I'll pay for it" Niki says immediately taking out the money

"it's fine I'll pay don't worry" I argued pushing away the money he handed me, are Asians always rushing to pay first, you might need it for your future

"it's fine I'll pay and halmeoni keep the change" Niki says immediately handing over the money to the grandma at the stand

"thank you so much I hope you guys will have a strong relationship" the grandma says with a smile

"we are just friends" Niki clarified with a chuckle

We went to find ourselves a place to sit so that we could have the food we had bought

"damn this is really good" Niki says stuffing the tteokkochi inside his mouth

"don't eat in a hurry we still have enough time" i chuckled staring at his face

"wait let's take some photos with it" Niki says taking out his phone

"look here Jake and hold those corndogs" Niki says posing for the pictures almost dropping the dumplings

"be careful with those dumplings" I laughed out at how he was struggling with the dumplings

"let's buy cotton candy after this" Niki says to me, he seems to be really hungry

"sure sure also are you guys done with the assignment?" I asked him

"oh please it's going to take us forever to complete it" Niki says dramatically placing his hand on his forehead

"was it really difficult?" I asked

"something like that I guess" Niki says staring at the sky

"are you guys getting along?" I asked him worried if they got into fights

"he is too nice to me these days I'm starting to get suspicious if he will pull up a new trick" Niki answers changing his facial expressions everytime he says the words relating to Jay

"why is it suspicious?" I chuckled munching on my tteokkochi

"wouldn't you be suspecious too if someone who you argue with everytime you meet starts being nice to you all of a sudden?" Niki says blankly staring at me waiting for my response

"I guess you are right I don't blame you" i said to him

"but he doesn't seem that bad of a person" Niki says

After a few minutes we went to get ourselves cotton candy, we decided to check on what was being performed at the stage and so we stood among the group, Niki started singing along with the crowd with a smile on his face, while standing there with him I got a call from Heeseung
