Ellabelle curled up in a ball inside her house, weak and exhausted. Her entire back throbbed with pain, so much so that she was wondering if this was the end.

Suddenly, there was a knock at her door. Ellabelle had no energy to get up and let people in, or even socialize, for that matter. She was tired, and it was painful.

"Come in," She basically whispered. To her surprise and delight, it was Catra and Lue. "Guys?"

They shut the door as fast as they could, kneeling down to assess the damage that had been done.

"You guys made it out with your wings," Ellabelle smiled weakly.

Catra had tears enveloping her eyes. None of her friends had ever seen her cry before.

"Look at what they did to her!" Catra told Lue between sobs. "And now they're going to kill Hadley, too,"

Lue felt his heart ache. "Human or not, we have to go save her." He replied. "She isn't a demon, and she shouldn't be treated like one, either."

Catra looked back down at Ellabelle. "How bad is it, really? Be honest with me," she asked.

"On a scale of one to ten, in terms of pain, I rank this at a fifteen." Ellabelle replied. "I could hardly make it back to my own house. I had to crawl on my hands and knees, and even then every step felt like someone just kept stabbing me in the back."

"They took away something that was supposed to be attached forever." Lue scowled. He stood up again and started pacing. "How is this ok?"

"It's not." Catra replied. "It's one hundred percent wrong. The Magic Council has grown too powerful, and I'm afraid that no one will be able to stop them now."

"There has to be a way. I'm not giving up so easily." Lue replied, crossing his arms.

Catra raised an eyebrow. "Normally you'd be scared out of your wits if someone mentioned something like this."

"Oh I am, don't worry about that."

"So... you just have a crush on Hadley then? Is that it?" Catra smiled with suspicion. Lue tried to cover up his blushing face. "I'll take that as a yes. Well, congratulations, you now have a forbidden love."

Catra stood up and examined Ellabelle again. "Is there any place we can get some ice?"

Lue shrugged. "I don't know. Probably not anywhere close. It's all grass and flowers as far as the eye can see." He replied, scratching his ear.

"How do you even help someone with a wingless back? You're like half human, half fairy at this point."

As they stood talking about what to do about Ellabelle's injury, there was a thump on the floor. Everyone turned to see what all the commotion was. They didn't expect to see a human boy standing there, brushing himself off.

"Who..." Catra began.

"Oh gosh..." Dask cringed, looking at the fairies that stood before him. "Um... where am I?"

Ellabelle asked Catra to help her stand, and she leaned against her to examine this visitor. A human boy coming in the same way Hadley did? This had to mean one thing alone.

"Dask?" Ellabelle asked, scanning him.

Dask narrowed his eyebrows. He looked around the room. How in the world did this thing know his name?

"You know my name?"

"Well... yeah, Hadley has told me all about you." Ellabelle smiled, her eyes still looking exhausted.
