“How are we going to enter the village, Hayley?” Ava asked as they hid behind a bush while they looked at the Village from a distance.
Hayley narrowed her eyes at Ava. "I know you have a plan, out with it Ava.”
Ava smiled mischievously at Hayley then nodded. “Of course I do. Look I brought us the dresses the humans wore in their village.” Ava clapped her hands excitedly.
Hayley frowned. "So much excitement over a dress?”
Ava kneeled and started rummaging through her backpack then looked up at Hayley. “Of course, when do we ever get the chance to dress up? Come on Hayley, lighten up for once. Why are you always so serious? Live a little.”
Hayley stared down at Ava, not in the slightest mood to dress up at all.
“Lucky for you these human clothes look really faded. Bleh” Ava stuck her tongue out to show her disgust. “They don’t have any taste at all”
“Ava!”
“Yeah?” Ava stopped and looked up at Hayley who was staring down at her with an unemotional expression on her face.
“You know we are living in a time of war? Fashion is the human’s last concern.”
Ava shrugged her shoulders and then took out two faded light brown dresses.
“Here you go. I can’t wait to see you in a dress.” Ava said cheerfully.
Hayley shooked her head. They quickly changed into the dresses and shoved their clothes in Ava’s backpack then hid the backpack in the bush. Ava wiped down her dress and then looked at Hayley eagerly.
“Where the hell do we put our weapons, Ava?” Hayley looked down at the dress. “Never mind I found a place.”
“You can’t rip the …. Aaah whatever,” Ava said as she shook her head at Hayley.
“What would you have done if I haven’t come with?”
Hayley shrugged her shoulders. “I don’t know… but I would have improvised.”
“Yeah right…” Ava looked at Hayley in disbelief.
“So what’s the plan?” Ava asked as she rubbed her hands together.
“We go in there, get that darn Demon and get our asses out before we get killed or before I faint of tiredness.”
“That's not a plan Hayley. “ Ava tilted her head while rising one eyebrow at Hayley.
“Fine. Let me think for a second.” Hayley closed her eyes and thought of a plan. Only a second passed before she opened her eyes and started ripping her dress.
“What the hell Hayley?”
“Rip yours as well. You know villagers don’t act kindly to intruders. We will act as if we got attacked by demons and barely made it out. We need to win their trust first and then look for the demon. I don’t think they would let us wander around the village if they do not trust us”
Hayley bent down picked up some dirt and rubbed it onto her face and dress then ruffled up her hair.
Ava looked at Hayley and then started to giggle. “ You look terrible.”
“Thanks, you too,”
Ava ran in front. She fell in front of the first elderly man she saw.
“Sir- Sir, please help us…” Ava cried out while grabbing onto his leg.
The old man frowned down at the young girl.
“We?” He asked
“Me … Me and my… my sister.” Ava pointed behind her at Hayley who was slowly approaching.
