Chapter 7

Thunder roared in the background. Hayley looked up at the dark clouds that covered the sky. A chilling wind blew through Hayley's hair as she crouched down next to a fallen tree trunk. She looked in the distance at the three guys that were circling a young girl. 'I am so sick of these vampires' Hayley thought to herself.

Hayley had wandered around to the other side of the mountain, thinking about Aurora's words, when she stumbled upon the scene in front of her. Hayley tilted her head to the side as she looked at the girl and the three vampires contemplating if she should get involved.

The girl in the middle stood with crossed arms and looked irritated at the three guys. Hayley sniffed the air. The smell of human blood instantly invaded her nostrils, but the smell was mixed with an earthly wooden smell. ' What is she?' Hayley thought to herself

The vampires hissed at the girl as they started circling her, but the girl did not even flinch a bit.

"What are you doing so far from your pack? Dog?" Derick scoffed out.

Hayley frowned at the vampire's remark,' What a weird way to address someone' She thought to herself.

Daciana lifted her eyebrow and then suddenly jumped at Derick. Midair Daciana turned into a brownish wolf.

Derick fell on his back with Daciana on top of him. Derick was a bit taken aback, but quickly started fighting back. Derick wanted to take a bite out of Daciana's side but she quickly jumped off him, placing a distance between them. They started circling each other. Daciana did not notice James silently moving in on her from the side. James suddenly jumped at Daciana, causing her to stumble and fall sideways. Daciana could hear the sound of her ribs breaking as she fell. 'Even if I die today I will not go down without a fight, Daciana thought to herself. She shook her head as she shakenly got back on her legs. She watched the three vampires sneering at her. They started laughing mockingly at her fearlessness.

Anger burned through Daciana's veins, her anger showing like fire in her brown eyes as she stood ready for her next attack. Daciana lets out a furious growl in the vampire's direction.

"Playtime is over dog," Shane said with a smirk, " Drink time boy's" He chimed happily.

All three vampires instantly ran toward Daciana. Daciana dodged James but was a bit too slow for Derick who bit down on her shoulder, causing her to let out an agonising howl.

Instinctively Hayley jumped up and ran towards the fight. As she ran, she threw the Katar at Derick who was on top of the Daciana. The Katar landed on Derick's side, the impact caused him to fall off Daciana. Derick quickly pulled out the Katar and threw it to the ground hissing in Hayley's direction as he stood up Shane was circling Daciana in search of his chance to attack, unaware of Hayley. James who now was underneath Daciana fought for dominance. Daciana found her gap and bit down hard on James's neck. Hayley summersault midair grabbed Shane at his head and threw him a distance away. Hayley landed in front of Derick and instantly stuck her Katar scissors in his heart. Hayley quickly turned and looked down at the Daciana.

Daciana pressed her paw on James's chest and pulled a piece of flesh out of his neck. James instantly reached for his neck. Daciana did not waste any time and grabbed his throat again, biting through his neck.

Shane ran full speed with his eyes on Daciana, as he passed Hayley, Hayley grasped his neck with one hand and threw him down hard. Shane landed heavily on the ground. Hayley spotted a stick lying next to Shane. With one swift motion, Hayley bent down picked up the stick, and stabbed it into Shane's heart.

Hayley walked toward her Katar's, picked them up, walked towards James, bent down, and cleaned them with his shirt. Hayley looked up at Daciana as she cleaned the Katar's. "You okay over there?"

Daciana turned back into her human form and curled herself into a fetal position from the pain.

"It hurt like a bitch! " Daciana hissed out.

Hayley stood up and walked toward Derick's remains.

"You're not going to turn Vampire on me?" Hayley asked skeptically as she bent down and picked Derick's shirt up.

"NO!" but "AAAAHHH!" Daciana screamed for the pain as the Venom ran through her vines.

Hayley walked to Daciana, crouched down next to her, and asked, "Will you be able to put the shirt on or can I help you."

"H...e...l...p me," Daciana said through the pain.

Hayley slowly picked up Daciana's head and pulled the shirt over her head. "You're a wolf?"

"We..re..w wwolf" Daciana stuttered from the pain.

"OKAY. " Hayley said as she looked around them, then looked back at Daciana again. "You live nearby? I think we need to get someone to look at you?" Hayley asked with uncertainty. Hayley felt confused. She did not know much about other supernaturals. 'What powers do werewolfs have? Was it even a normal thing to be bitten by a vampire, will this girl die? Do they heal themself, darn it? What should I do?' Hayley thought to herself.

"Yesssss follow the trail." Daciana slowly lifted her finger and pointed in the direction Hayley should take. Daciana's hand fell motionless to the ground as she lost consciousness.

Hayley hurriedly bends down next to Daciana, "Girl! Girl what trail? You need to stay awake!" Hayley quickly looked in the direction the girl had pointed out.

"Why does this shit always have to happen to me? Am I a magnum for trouble? Why... do I have to .... stick my nose into other people... business?" Hayley mumbled frustrated to herself as she lifted Daciana on her back and started walking in the direction Daciana had pointed out.

'Who knows what the other wolves would do to me once they see me carrying their kind on my back! Freaken vampires! Freaken wolfs! Stupid, stupid, stupid me for getting involved!"

Hayley followed the path until she saw a lot of houses in front of her. It started drizzeling. Hayley tried covering her head with her hand while trying to balance Daciana on her back.
