Ch 3

(Minho's Pov)

Watching AJ run away from me with fear in his eyes I immediately get a knot in my stomach because he's so small and someone seems to be hurting him. Shaking my head I pay for the things I was sent to get then head back to our house I walking into the kitchen seeing Chan cooking while trying to get Jisung to leave the food alone. I walk up to Chan setting the bag on the counter with a clipped "here." Chan thanks me and Jisung looks at me the younger alpha tilting his head. "What's up with you?" I frown then sigh taking a seat running a hand through my hair. "I ran into AJ at the store and helped him get a pack of ramen that he couldn't reach. And when he turned around he had a black eye and he flinched away from me like I was going to hurt him when I went to touch his arm. Then he just ran away from me in fear." Jisung gives me a sad sympathetic look. "He's probably bullied or abused." I nod a little in agreement. "Whatever's going on he's making excuses. He tried to tell me he walked into a door." Jisung raises an eyebrow at me. "No offense but that's a ridiculous excuse." I nod in agreement before saying sternly. "I'm going to find out who's hurting him and take care of it. Will you guys help me?" They both agree Chan speaking up. "Of course. But what's your attachment to this boy Minho?" I blink then shrug. "I don't like seeing people's spirits broken and I don't like seeing people abused or hurt. Now I'm going to go rest call me when dinners ready." Chan assures me he will before I head to my room I changing into more comfortable clothes and grab the book I was assigned to read before laying down on my bed I reading a few chapters before slowly dozing off.

*next day*

(Aj's Pov)

Making my way to school silently I head inside to go to my locker seeing the usual hate filled comments taped to my locker door. Sighing I push my glasses up my nose before I take down all the pieces of paper throwing the large pile away. I then open my locker grabbing my things for first period only to jump when I feel a tap on my shoulder I slowly turning around cautiously only to tense when I see it's Minho my stomach twisting with nerves and anxiety I looking around in fear before hissing at Minho. "What are you doing over here?" He frowns a little. "I was thinking that we could walk to class together to discuss our project." I frown biting my lip before saying anxiously. "Can't we just discuss it in class?" He seems to eye me as I look around nervously his voice softening. "Alright I'll see you in class." He thankfully leaves and I relax a little waiting a minute before heading to class I making my way to the back table reluctantly as I take a seat beside Minho silently. I dig through my backpack grabbing the book we were assigned to read then turn to face Minho I feeling a little uncomfortable when I realize he's staring at me. Clearing my throat I say a little softly. "Have you gotten a chance to read some of the book?" He gives a little nod. "Yeah I'm really liking it so far. What about you?" I unconsciously smile a little my inner book nerd coming out. "So far it's really good. I'm liking the plot and the characters seem interesting. I can't wait to get further into the book." He smiles and we discuss the chapters we've read so far before drifting off to discussing our favorite books and authors I actually coming out of my shell a little. That is until the bell rings making me jump startled and the happy comfortable bubble between us bursts I swallowing a little and quickly grab my backpack saying quickly. "Um text me when you finish reading the book and we'll discuss the report and diorama and everything." Before he can answer I'm out the door and rushing to my locker to grab my books for my next class. I head to maths and make my way to the front near the window and take my seat staring out the window until I jump when I feel someone sit beside me I turning my head only for my eyes to widen when I see the leader of Stray Kids Bang Chan. Shifting uncomfortably I say a little nervously. "Um why are you sitting here? You always sit in back." He gives me a kind smile. "I thought maybe you'd like some company." I stare at him before saying in a nervous anxious tone. "I don't think that's a good idea. I'm better off alone." He tilts his head at me before saying simply. "No one's better off alone. Everyone needs at least one person in their corner." I frown biting my lip and look around the classroom anxiously feeling everyone staring and whispering I looking back at Chan pleadingly. "Please it's best for everyone if I just stay alone." He goes to say something only for the teacher to come in to start the lesson I slumping in defeat because now I'm stuck with Chan beside me. Shaking my head I just focus on taking notes and doing the assignment given to us. Once class is over I grab my things and stand up trying to bypass Chan but he grabs my arm to stop me I flinching away instinctively he quickly letting me go. "Someone's hurting you and we just want to help. No one deserves to be alone and by themselves or to be hurt." I give him a slight look. "You're just going to make things worse. If I'm seen around any of you it'll put an even bigger target on my back. I'm already paying for being around Minho and that's because I have no choice since he's my assignment partner." He frowns looking worried. "Tell us who's hurting you and we can help." I scoff and say flatly. "You're going to go up against the entire school? Just leave me alone because you can't fight this battle you might as well give up and not even try." I move around him and run off I heading towards the bathroom only to freeze when I hear the familiar voice of Dongyul. "Hey freak!" I swallow and slowly turn around anxiously. "Yes?" His eyes narrow a little. "Why was Bang sitting with you in class? What are you a slut now? Spreading your legs for different alphas?" I immediately frown and shake my head frantically. "No that's not true! He wouldn't leave me alone." Dongyul scoffs. "Sure. If you're so willing to be with different alphas why not give us a taste?" I pale and take a cautious step backwards. "B.... But I don't want to. I'm a virgin. I haven't even presented why would I want to sleep with anyone?" His eyes narrow a little. "Awe come on don't hurt our feelings." He then turns to his friends and smirks. "Let's see if he really is a virgin." My eyes widen and I quickly dart off as fast as I can I hearing them following me only to curse when I turn a corner and end up at the end of the hall trapped in a dead end. I turn around feeling sick to my stomach and back away until my back hits the wall Dongyul quickly approaching me and pins me against the wall with his body he nuzzling against my neck I closing my eyes and start to cry. "Please! Please I don't want to!" Suddenly I don't feel his body against me anymore and I cautiously open my eyes only to see Minho on top of Dongyul who's being pinned to the floor as Minho beats the crap out of him. My eyes widen a little as I see the other two bullies on the floor unconscious I quickly rushing over to Minho as I see Dongyul's face get busted up more and more I grabbing Minho's fist before he can punch him again. "Minho stop you're going to kill him!" He looks at me his eyes bright red making me flinch letting go of his fist and he seems to take a deep breath before getting up. "Are you okay?" I give a little nod keeping a big distance between us he going to take a step forward but stops when I take a step back. "I'm not going to hurt you AJ. I'm not like these pathetic so called alpha's." I stare at him observing him warily but see the honesty in his eyes my shoulders slumping a little I murmuring softly. "Thank you for helping me." He nods and cautiously moves closer looking worried. "You're shaking." I blink then realize that I am indeed shaking really badly. He gives me a concerned look and says gently. "Let's go to the principal and get you home." I immediately go to protest but Minho gives me a stern look. "You were almost raped AJ you're not just going back to class." I sigh but nod and he gently wraps an arm around me before leading me to the principal. When we get to the office Minho immediately tells the secretary that we need to speak to the principal and that it's an emergency she letting us back. I reluctantly tell the principal what happened he immediately giving me a worried concerned look and excuses me for the day. Minho and I then exit the office I saying reassuringly when we reach the schools gates. "I can make it home myself but thank you for helping me." He immediately says in a stern voice my stomach twisting a little at the dominant alpha tone. "I'm taking you home and that's final. Now which way?" I swallow and point in the direction of my house and we start walking it quiet between us for a while before he speaks up. "Why didn't you tell anyone that the bullying was this bad?" I immediately say honestly. "I didn't think anyone would care. The whole school basically hates me and I just felt like if I spoke up no one would care or believe me." He frowns at me. "Well you don't have to deal with it anymore. I'll protect you and so will my friends." I immediately grimace. "I don't know about that. I have a lot of people who would do anything possible to make me pay for being around you and the others." He looks at me seriously. "Then they'll have to get through me and the others." I shake my head and change the subject. "This is my house. I'll talk to you later Minho." He goes to say something but I quickly run off inside where I immediately head up to my room since my parents aren't home and change into comfortable clothes before distracting my mind by reading until I slowly fall asleep.
